2nd year shooter would appreciate feedback on my portfolio. I recently edited out some pics I thought didn't work and added a few new ones. Thanks in advance... Dec 08 17 08:12 pm Link Speaking in general - Some very nice images, but for me personally I was put off by the heavily "filtered" processing which pervades the lot of them. A matter of taste I guess - some my love it. YMMV. I can't help but wonder what they would look like with something else. I appreciated your having a website to go to view (some MMites don't) - for better/other viewing. Dec 09 17 06:11 am Link Thanks Karen! Dec 09 17 06:15 am Link The first thing that jumps out at me is the difference in ankle color between right and left, models left appears some what purple The other area is the catch lights in eyes, models right has a nice clear catch light, models left eye seems devoid of a catch light, and thus eye seems less powerful Wish I could not see up models nose, left nostril seems to have some residue in it Over all skin lacks texture, more of a smooth color rather than detailed skin This one is not working for me on many levels, glass frames are cutting through models eyes, too much clutter in photo [Door frame photo left, white chair, what looks like a glass cabinet], would also prefer long fingers instead of fists. Agree with previous poster less of a fogy appearance Wish corner were vertical, so top is not tilted to photo right [Suggested crop, after making photo vertical, crop the door off so just the outside bookcase frame is in photo [You have captured some amazing eyes in this image] You are quite talented using your camera, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, I wish you well Dec 09 17 08:32 am Link My impression is they are mostly over edited / filters, except my fave which needs a little more Its the first image - i put ''V Interesting - nice pose, and model and lighting. Maybe use more negative space (in this case to the left) and pay attention to color'' meaning her feet ;-) Dec 12 17 06:26 pm Link |
