A Wonderful Life

By far the greatest Christmas movie ever because of the life lesson it provides for each and every individual.

I have two of them, and I cannot ever decide which one I love more...

"It's a Wonderful Life".  I adore James Stewart.  He was a powerful actor who exuded nothing but honesty at all times.  There are several scenes in that film where he is just devastating.  The film also has other scenes in it where other actors are tremendous, too.  I have nothing but praise for Frank Capra's directing, either.  I've experienced people poking fun at that film, saying that it's "corny" and such, but I think it's actually really hard-hitting and epic, in a most unusual way.

"A Christmas Story".  What can anyone say about the unforgettable performance by Peter Billingsley as Ralphie?  And I'll watch anything with Darren McGavin in it.  Man, I love that guy, he's awesome  :-D  The whole movie is perfect, hilarious and poignant.

I'm rather partial to the version of "A Christmas Carol" with Patrick Stewart as Scrooge.

A Christmas Carol, with either Alastair Sim, or George C. Scott staring.

I really like One Magic Christmas too.

You're all wrong.  The best, without a doubt, is "Miracle on 34th Street".

Agree regarding A Wonderful Life..  Capra, Stewart - everything.  BUT  For ephemera visual chewing gum, watch  'The Polar Express'  For Time Standing - W0nderful Life every time.  Stops us in our tracks.  Anoracks check what Carpra was about.

Trading Places is my top Christmas movie.
Having been a community theatre participant for many years, however, I am always more partial to well done stage shows. For me, The Best Christmas Pageant, ever is at the top of the list, followed closely by Miracle on 34th st.
