What a great loss to science and to cosmology specifically.  How he managed to excel under the heavy load that life handed him showed his unbreakable spirit.

I thought his recurring role on The Big Bang show was priceless  .  .  .  I'm sure his input as to the use of his persona and humor in that guise was hilarious  .  .  .  quite the life he was able to live!

He was living proof that we are not our bodies, that we are not our voices, but that we are, at the core of our essence, our minds... and his was one of the greatest.

And, as perhaps a final demonstration of his exquisite sense of humor, it's oddly fitting that he should leave us all on Pi Day.

RIP Professor Hawking.
