I would love to know what others think. What should I keep and what should I toss? Which photos are my best and which are not so much? I look forward to hearing your thoughts smile I am a freelance model that so far has only modeled tfp. I plan on having rates but I am not sure when I will be comfortable enough to do so. Thank you!

You have some beautiful photos.  I think there is just too many similar shots.  The white dress with the lacy sleeves has a about six shots from the same session.  Pick your one favorite.  Messy hair is fun, but again just pick one.  See if you can get some more variety in poses and you are well on your way.

Great smile, again moving away from the background and loosing the window would be an improvement

This photo is so close, what I would change

[Having your eyes looking where your nose is pointed will give a more natural look]
{Seems like the white of the eyes and your teeth have been over worked in an editing program}

Over all you have a great look; you will surely produce some awesome images

I wish you well

There are others I sortof like but these jumped out (to Me) as being the strongest.

The images with Your hair covering Your eyes were a bold attempt at making a statement, but in Your case I don't think they work.  The balance are odd crops or 'meh'.

Less is more - Great work, keep it up!!

In my opinion, in the majority of the images, you're displaying only variations on one singular facial expression: head tilt, mouth open, sultry.

If that's your signature "blue steel", fine, but some might interpret your skillset as somewhat limited.

I think that you are gorgeous, but I do agree with others in that your poses are very similar. I would lose too many similar pictures from the same set. I love that you embrace your curly hair!  Keep it up.

Thank you for the feedback! I will remove similar shots and work on my expressions. I do make other expressions but feel weird picking them sometimes. I admit that I tend to lean more towards sultry and pouty. I will try to branch out more and choose different photos with different expressions.

Here are some thoughts. Of these two, I would remove the black and white and keep the color version. They are too similar and the color shot is working much better.

This shot shows off your legs, but I find the quality to be mundane. Too many distractions in the background, image quality is bland. Challenge yourself to a new shoot that shows off your legs.

Loving the red dress series. It's a tough call, but I think this is the best of the bunch.

As noted already, keep expanding your range of expressions. Love the smile, but the brick backdrop is not the best. The shot of you looking down is better only because the background is less distracting.

Remove these immediately.

I'm on the fence with this one. Shows off your figure well, but the image quality is really poor. I guess I just answered my quandary...remove it and challenge yourself to a new swimsuit shoot.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/180529/20/5b0e167bcc123_m.jpg

These are all rockin' it.

Some overall thoughts. Keep in mind a couple things while modeling. It's usually not preferred to have straight arms and legs. Try to remember to keep your fingers from splaying out. Do some YouTube research on dos and don'ts for posing. Also, try to remember to show the sides of your hands, not the palm or back of your hand, especially when near your face. I always recommend models explore Mary Duprie's videos. You tend to do a cocked head pose. It works, but I think you are relying on it too often. A lot of your photos have overly smooth skin, to the point of just being blurry. A good retoucher can help in this area.

You're doing good. I can see progress in your work. Onward and upward!

Weird is good (or at least different)! Think of your portfolio as your calling card for those looking to work with you. If they only see one look, one emotion, their conclusion might be that that's all you've got to offer. Versatility is important, so show all your cards.

I don't think any of the photos are keepers. It appears that most of the photographers are using the wrong lens for you, and the angles on you are not right for you.

You're not helping them with the wardrobe, makeup, hair thing. Everything looks low budget and to have no real plan.

Get a wardrobe that show you off. And reshoot. To book work with photographers who will pay you,  you just need no more than ten. And you should concentrate on putting killer photos up.

I cannot just remove everything but I will work on getting better photos and wardrobe. I don’t have the luxury to just buy a whole new wardrobe. I wish I did though...maybe one  day I will be able to do that. Once again thank you for the feedback. It is hard enough finding photographers down here so I work with what I have. I will take all of that into consideration the next time I shoot.

Well, it's been about a year since I last reviewed your portfolio. You've gotten some nice shots, but it seems you've fallen into a pose rut head tilt, hair covering your right eye.

I think you may have missed the memo. Women are magical shape shifters. They can go from not being noticeable in a room to being the center of attention. All with more or less makeup, a change in hairstyle (long, shot, medium, straight, curly, color) updo, down, pigtails, braids. Casual dress, formal dress, cute, naive, sultry, tease, happy, serious.  How many non-verbal ways has your mother or teachers or friends communicated their thoughts and feelings to you? What does it look like. The best actors and actresses don't have to say a word. That's your job as a model. There's a song by the Eagles that has the line "City girls just seem to find out early
How to open doors with just a smile "

You've gotten tons of good advice in this thread, mostly use more expressions. You told me you have lots of them. So? See if you can do model shoots in places that evoke different moods in you. The beach, an entertainment center, a concert hall, a kid's playground an indoor setting, etc, etc.

All the best.

Almost every image has you looking into the camera, thus it makes the images too much about your personality, which for me, can be a challenge if you are trying to make art.  If you are just trying for a page in a magazine, it would probably work fine.  But my 2 cents would be, try to get lost in a moment more, where you forget about the camera, and try to work with photographers that don't put you in a bullet composition, or the center of the frame.  Hope that helps.

I read the prior comments.
You still have a lot of redundant looking photos, expression wise.
Sometimes, "less is more". You might do well with half the number of photos. pick just your very best.
It's better to have just 5 GREAT photos in your port, than 5 great ones, 5 okay ones, and 5 mediocre ones.

Also, I might suggest going through your portfolio again, and grouping them by facial angle and expression.
All the places you find more than one photo in a group... discard all but one in a group.

I see at least two groupings like that.

I think that every one has been very helpful...My only question is your avatar...You have so many far better images  "in my opinion" in your port, what made you choose this particular picture?
