My wife is taking me to AirVenture 2018 next week! The trip is my birthday present. We went to the fly-in for one day back in 1989. The theme for this year's fly-in is early jets, like the F-86, the MiG 15, and the Gloster Meteor. This is going to be so exciting! The B-29 "Doc" will be there again this year. Last year, "Doc" Flew in formation with the CAF's "FIFI." We'll be on the airport for two days soaking up all things aviation. The XP-82 Twin Mustang prototype was going to be there but it's not going to happen. The airplane hasn't had its first flight yet so it hasn't been certified for regular flight. Still, this trip is going to be one of those trips of a lifetime! So cool.

I used to live up near a B-52 base in Rome Ny. its gone now but they still have a B-52 sitting on the lawn.
personally I would LOVE to see one of those B-2 spirits or B-1's up close. also where I live now there is a predator and reaper drone base so I always see those things flying around. anyways looks like fun

My wife and I looked into getting a Kitfox not long after I earned my Private. We looked them over at Sun n Fun and she liked that the seats were side by side instead of tandem like a Cub. Sadly, it never came to be.

I live in Spokane, near Fairchild AFB. I used to see B-52s flying over quite frequently when they were still based here.
