So I have images that come out of camera like this:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1yCA8x … YxlW-yj9A-
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1w0oAp … D_ptkXE8v2

I am looking to do something more like this:

https://www.instagram.com/tmsproductions/

or (slightly different, but similar concept):

https://www.pinterest.com/pin/647603621391770036/
https://www.instagram.com/p/BjnEWP7gTBU … donfashion

Can this be done entirely in Lightroom, or is Photoshop required? If possible, please explain step by step, or mention a concept I can google search, so I can learn more.

I consider myself fairly experienced with lightroom. Very newbie with photoshop.

I can explain how I did it in photoshop, if you like these otherwise it doesn't worth to explain if it doesn't fulfill your needs. regards

The looks in your linked examples would be a combination of software. I would do color grading using Lightroom, ACR or Capture One. Then use Photoshop to do cleanup, evening up of skintone, D&B and some additional color work and to bring everything together to your final look.

I haven't fully used LR since 2014 when I switched to Capture One Pro.  The basics are the same.  Here's a quick edit I did and my take on how to accomplish it.

Note:  Everything is adjust to taste.  From image to image, there is no absolute value.  Knowing what the settings does, you just have screw around and find one you like.

--typically works well (or only) on harsh sunlight shots.

--One of those adjust to taste things:

--I normally don't like blue skies, so I'll usually shift them to green/cyan/teal and sometimes yellow/orange(ish).  Lol, anything but regular blue.

--Look up basic color theories like the typical cinematic teal and orange.  I typically use yellow/orange in the highlights and blue (or purple/magenta) in the shadows.  Though, in this case, I didn't use those.

--Also, using a soft adjustment brush with low flow, I dodged her leg a little to get that highlight.  And, dodged a dark spot on her cheek to make it a little more even.

Can you send the images in raw format?
If yes, PM me the link(s).

Thank you!

There is no single procedure for achieving that kind of image. among them there are many similarities, but often it is necessary to intervene differently for each image and about the type of image that it wants to obtain. There are filters like Vsco and others that help in the initial process but still need to be customized. What I show you are two different types of intervention. The first is a custom Exposure filter. The second one is worked with curves / hues and saturation and selective color correction. So there is not a single way.

Fireshoot --

I don't like the first way (blue cast), but the 2nd way is close what I am looking for. Can you share the settings you used?

These are setting without filters like visco/exposure or similiar. Only settings adjustment colors.
I show different way too, with color grading.
This is color grading process. The same is possible with only camera raw settings.

1. Your images are great.
2. The edits are non-touched with multi layers in PS.
3. Can be re-produced in Photoshop.
4. It's a pity that you cannot share the images in raw format. If I have the raw file, I can make it better.

I might share a bunch of RAWs in the other forum for retouching soon. If I remember I can post a link here when I do.

For now I was just curious about this technique.

It is an interesting way to enhance fashion images, that of post production with a precise style. A bit like Gucci or others big brands in the industry. The attached image is not a quick post, but requires several steps. Color grading is not always fast. It depends on what result you want to achieve.

I tried to simulate the image samples you linked to as close as I could. The samples are slightly dark and have deep shadows.
I worked mostly in photoshop and used Capture One to even out skin tones.....also FS to even out also.....and D&B.

Hi James,
Is this similar to the look you are trying to achieve? This was done entirely in Lightroom but it could get better with some fine adjustments in photoshop.

@Peyman
In gucci style I believe that colors clothes are really like these in pictures and maybe accentuated in tones.
But you can still get the color of Gucci by completely changing the color of the clothes, using the same techniques to get Gucci style for skin. The skin in the example below is not yet complete in tone but only partially. The example is just to show the change of color for the dress.
