Hi guys!

So I haven’t been here in forever and just updated my portfolio. Still doubting about some and which to keep in or out. Would be great if you could give me some feedback about which and why!

Thank you in advance!

Not a fan of this one. Lifeless, and annoying tint

Nope, hate all of 'em, dump 'em all  .  .  .  nah, the only reason I hate 'em, is cause I didn't get to shoot any of them  .  .  .  wink  Wonderful variety, your look works across the board  .  .  .  if you're ever in Florida, keep me in mind, lots we could do!

So interesting, cause this is the photo I thought reflects me best as a person. Hope i ain’t a lifeless person, though haha! But thank you for your opinion,  makes me rethink!

I will mention that it looks a bit better in the large scale, than the preview.
But the preview has to look good enough to make people want to click for the large view!

I too don't like the tint, but I do like that it is a picture of you without lots of make-up and styling. I think every portfolio should have a couple of "just as I am" pictures. They allow the photographer to see what the base is upon which he/she can build the photo.

The main drawback to your work is the lack of expressions. You basically have only one expression throughout your portfolio. Remember that modeling is acting. There are emotions to explore for every scene and currently we are only seeing one emotion from you.

Your poses are fine, but this is another area where you could inject some creativity. I always recommend Mary Duprie's videos in order to learn more about hands and general posing. These are insights into what you can control as a model. Here are some thoughts regarding the photography contained within your book...

All four of these images shift color too much. That could be the reason for the debate regarding the last photo. Your skin tones are green, which is usually not attractive. They work as lifestyle images, but the editing is too harsh. Regarding the last image of you, it works as a portrait, but isn't composed as a portrait. I suspect that you identify with that photograph because it reflects you as you see yourself on a day-to-day basis. However, the color shifting is too much.

These two photographs stand out to me. You are obviously lucky to work with very creative team members. Outstanding imagination from hair stylists, wardrobe stylists and make-up artists. Now it is time for you to introduce some personality into your work. Explore emotions, practice in the mirror. You might not be wild, but now it's time to tap into your inner feline and exhibit your passion within your work.

I do like this photo of you: https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/44641722

However, I believe the color processing is too strong in the above photo, and in the rest of the photos in your portfolio.  If the colors were a bit more muted, they may have worked better.

The better the photographers you work with, the better they are going to bring out what you have inside: Presence. A je ne sais quoi. smile

You have a lovely look. I would be happy to work an editorial with you.

I would personally get rid of this one: https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/37934363

I don't think the makeup and lighting were well executed.

You're 5'11" and say you've done fashion work, yet no one would know it by the port images. Get fashion photographers to photograph you looking tall.

Hi Ann,
You have some fantastic work in here! Remember to put your best images "above the fold," that means people should see your very best images in the top row. Also making rows of portraits (4 in a row) and rows of landscapes (4 in row) makes the whole thing look tidier and more professional, as well as allowing photographers to see more work all at once.

I would put these 4 in your top row:

Best of luck!

Be well,
