Warning To Models (especially those in Ohio)...
I posted info about these folks in a different thread. But, since I am from Ohio, I figured I should take a moment to warn models in Ohio about a particular agency. This agency is still in business and still has an active website. I won't name names and I won't bother to rat them out myself. I'll just let the mainstream media do it. Here are several articles on this agency: Article 1 Article 2 Article 3 Article 4 Article 5 Article 6 There are lots of scams out there besides them. Like who? Well, I hate to name names. All the deception could drive you to GET ON with the BUSINESS of drinking heavily in a BAR ... You might say it could cause you to get your "Bar-biz-on." (ahem) For all you new models: http://www.modelingadvice.com http://www.modelnews.com http://www.modelingscams.com http://www.modelingscams.org http://www.modelingadvice.com/Scams.html http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/services/model.htm http://www.crimes-of-persuasion.com/Cri … deling.htm http://www.modelsresourcecenter.com/scam.htm Also, check out things like Google.com and search for stuff like "model scams" or "modeling industry" or "new to modeling" and things like that. May 03 05 08:33 pm Link I heard about that last year, isn't Z out of biz now a days? R. May 03 05 08:37 pm Link Posted by Rik Bowman: The company mentioned in the articles is still around and has an active website. (And I now added those facts to my original post to avoid confusion.) May 03 05 08:41 pm Link This is one more reason why Model Mayhem is the best...people looking out for one another. May 03 05 08:51 pm Link Dammit you've got to be kidding....I thought for sure they would be under by now if not all the others listed under the scam sight. Shame , but good call. It would be a good idea to have a database/link to updated scam sights here for bogus agencies etc. R.
