Hi New photographer on here. Looking to gain experience working with models Looking to gain experience with lighting, posrs and gain creative ideas https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/46607744 Feel free to comment Oct 26 20 02:31 am Link My interpretations of your photos as I see them, take it for what its worth. Make the verticals vertical please, top of photo tilted to photo right. Eliminate distractions, I looked outside the doorway as soon as I saw it, interesting stairway and what appear to be railroad tracks. [Simply crop the door way off so viewers can’t see outside]. Photoshop the G from behind the models back and tighten the crop photo left to remove some of the wall. Too much head tilt, bring her chin up. Have models eyes look more where the nose is pointed rather than locking them in the corner. Moving models hair behind models left shoulder will open up neck; this usually makes the model appear more open and approachable. Straighten out the vertical lines in the background, crop top of photo closer to top of her head. Face seems dark, better crop at top of head. Bet the white coat is throwing off your exposure. On camera flash is giving you the pin hole of light in center of eye. Remember reflectors are a great way to modify light. Crop the top of photo, rim light, side light or hair light would help separate models hair from background. Face seems quite dark compared to models right shoulder. Instead of just flopping models left arm against body add some space, like you were putting a grapefruit between elbow and body. Suggest cropping bottom of photo off below models right elbow. Good job capturing her eyes in this photo. You have two so similar I would only keep this one. Distraction, Photoshop lettering off models shirt. Crop some off top of photo and bring left photo border in to her hip. Face needs more something [Contrast or vibrancy?] Add an avatar to your port. I wish you well Oct 26 20 02:44 pm Link Agree with Lee, especially proper orientation of portrait photos Since this ia a model site your greatest benefit will be in having a model as your avatar and it should be your best, I would suggest the blond. for your non model photos I would recommend Instagram as you can post unlimited photos in all the area of your interest. Quality is more important than quantity of course an on MM I would put no more than one car/pet photo unless you go to a premium membership and even then only a couple and they should be great. Pay attention to the small details, hands, background etc Oct 27 20 10:51 am Link SteveG76 wrote: For a natural light portrait I enjoyed it. Oct 27 20 11:16 am Link |
