Nov 16 20 05:28 pm Link #2 Nov 17 20 03:24 am Link Yes. Two's got the right mmphism. Nov 17 20 06:03 am Link I prefer #1 because it is more engaging; it has more variation that carries the eye into different areas of the image. I find that #2 lacks that and while it might make a stronger immediate impression, it doesn't hold the attention as well as #1 (in my opinion). Nov 17 20 12:07 pm Link Thanks for the help so far! I am going to enter 1 in a contest but I haven't submitted anything in almost 20 years so I'm nervous. The funny thing is that I shot one of them and loved it, but I wasn't sure about the composition, so I went back and took the other. Now I like both but for different reasons. I like the top because it's mysterious, I like the bottom because it seems more traditional but with an edge (to me). Blah! Nov 17 20 01:14 pm Link Of these two. Two. :-P Twenty years? Feels good to have actively sought out a construct to even enter the competition, though, doesn't it? Best of luck on the entry! ::thumbs up sign thingy here if basic account allowed any of that:: Nov 17 20 04:46 pm Link #2, is a photograph with a strong composition and a foreground that draws one into the photo. the first IMO is a nice snapshot Nov 18 20 06:13 am Link I like both. But the glare of the sun in #2 leads me to favor #1. Nov 18 20 09:00 pm Link |
