I love the setting you used and the black and white.  Critiques on MM can only be made in the critique forum, where things can get brutal.  You could also request a critique via PM.

You might be interested in a new You Tube by Sean Tucker, an English photographer who produces many thoughtful and interesting You Tubes.  He just put one out called something like, "Finding Self Healing in Self Portraits". Search "Sean Tucker" and you will find it. He is an interesting fellow and does his presentation very simply and well. A bit philosophical even!
