Praying Mantis attack Hummingbirds!?!

Last night I was telling some friends about how a few days ago i walked under a tree and ended up with a praying mantis climbing on my shoulder. *shudders* then she offered up the info that sometimes they sit on hummingbird feeders and attack the birds! she even showed me a video which i wont link here. Poor birdy
Sort of fascinating though, I didnt think they could be that powerful.
have you ever heard of that?
