Do you work with a pro retoucher?
Fellow Togs, If you are bored and feel like typing, I'd love to hear about your experiences. Do you work with a remote retoucher or photoshop wizard? What is it like? What kind of projects do you send them? Wedding photos? Advertising photos? Art nudes? How do you pick a retoucher? Do you care what country they are in? Do you give them lots of instructions or just let them do their thing? Just to be clear, I'm not asking to be contacted by retouchers, that happens a few times a week already. I'm just curious about how it works. Maybe some day I will take advantage of their offers. Take Care, Dr. Mike Oct 24 21 06:05 pm Link No . . . I've always done my own retouching. The only times I've ever had my work retouched by others is when there is a magazine cover project and the editors hired a retoucher to do something to their specifications (blow out a section where text will be added), or when a client hires one for emphasizing certain parts of an product so it will stand out to become it more readable. Oct 24 21 10:05 pm Link Nope, I do my own these days. Last time I hired a retoucher was predigital photography. Back then retouchers painted or bleached right on the surface of an image Oct 24 21 10:26 pm Link I do all my own PP but I should start to send important files to a pro because my PP sucks!!! my intention is always to get proficient with PS but so far that has not happened. I'm pretty good with LR but that is so limited!
