About Me

Please let me introduce myself....

I am one of the UK's leading 1940's Vintage Pin-Up models and perform Burlesque at WWII events and with the USO Shows.  I am the 1st UK Pin-Up of the Pin-Up Portal and pride myself for having knowledge behind the eras I portray (1930's to 50's).  I have been modelling for almost 10 years and performing for 5 years.

I can do my own vintage style hair and make-up (have done on all my shoots so far) and have a wide range of vintage wardrobe items and accessories.

I was the' Face of Glamour' at Blenheim Palace's Festival of Flight in 2005 as well as main entertainment at War and Peace 2009 and 2010.  I am also part of the lead 1940's entertainment for Vintage at Goodwood and Goodwood Revival 2010.

I have been featured in various national and international papers and magazines including Daily Express, The Guardian, Evening Standard, Total Tattoo, Boppin' Around, WWII Reenactors Magazine (June 2009), The Chap, local papers, Warwickshire Life Magazine... I have also been featured on ITN, Central News and Midlands Today as a local feature.

I am not only a Vintage Pin-Up but Burlesque artist too!  I have performed for V.I.P.'s and standard audiences alike and have some fantastic costumes.  I have performed from Sheffield to Milan and Paris!  Specialising in 1940's WWII events, I have a variety of patriotic and 40's inspired acts as well as my well known theatrical Burlesque pieces such as Bad Kitty, Marie Antoinette and Kitten a Flame.  A new act for July 2010 is 'Songbird.'

The reason I chose to come to MM is that the standard of models and photographers is very high and I it seems to be a great community you have going.  I am here to continue my work, my passion for vintage and to find work with publications, calendars and vintage fashion.  I am looking to model for more clothing companies and publications!

MY LIMITS: Please be aware that I do NOT do pornographic work of any kind and purely stick to my vintage styles.  I do not mind a little fetish as long as it stays within my boundaries and I will not be forced to do anything passed them.  I am very proud of my vintage look and work very hard in trying to perfect it.

TRAVEL: I am willing to travel for the right job and if my expenses are payed.  I am willing to travel for free around Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and Leamington Spa areas as they are fairly local.

RATES:  Please contact me for rates with job description.  I do have set rates but am quite happy to do a deal for the right job!  I also work on a 'pay for wears' basis with clothing and shoe companies.

Thank you for reading my Tribute to my Brother and growing up in the 1950's & 60's in America. A time of rebellious teenagers, pinups and naughty girls.

<<- There is a better version on my MM page.

It still needs some editing, I am dyslexic which is just another word that I can't spell. ;)

My comical command of English is, well, just a bit better than our most embarrassing former President, who avoided service in Vietnam, for no good political insight or moral reason...

But I think my deficit style with limitations just makes the story telling all the more charming, don't you think?

Please feel free to cut and paste and pass it around to anyone who would care. As it's my Brother Mickey and our friends who are the real hero's in this story... a Kind of real James Deans of the early 60's and Vietnam War Era.

Also did you listen to the American Pie song by Don McLean... here is a better live performance link :

All the best from,

Danny V - pin-up artist
