The images in this portfolio were all shot with natural light on location…using whatever light was available, inside or out. It's what I do and what I love...using the softness, the harshness, working with shadows...to bring out the natural beauty of my models.

When I work with a model, it's a collaboration, and my goal is to capture their inner and outer beauty as simply and naturally as possible. Whether we’re working on images you want for your portfolio or concepts I want to capture, the results are the same…simple, natural, gorgeous images that capture you, the person and model.

I'm ridiculously easy and fun to work with as long as you respect my time. I like to laugh and talk about anything and everything. I'm also likely old enough to be your grandfather, so rest assured I don't want to date you or hit on you. But if you'd like to make gorgeous images in a fun, relaxed atmosphere, get in touch.

Natural beauty / Natural Light  I shoot beautiful, natural, portraits and fashion images.  I like simple.  I like real.  I like sensual. Personality, intelligence and humor are important to me. I do not like fake boobs, hokey glamour or anything that degrades. I appreciate great ink art – I lived in Hawaii where great tattoos are much admired.

Trade Note: I’m selective. Other than periodically helping serious models build their portfolios, I've reached the point where I don't work for free unless it's a project that I am excited about. My work is widely acclaimed for its simple, natural beauty and my rates for portraits, headshots and model portfolio work are very reasonable and flexible. You will get stunning images. Guaranteed. 

Awards & Recognition My work has been recognized here at Model Mayhem and on a number of other US and European sites. Here at MM, I was voted a Top-Drawer photographer (best of the best) by my peers and my images have won numerous Picture of the Day awards including nine 18+ images.

Now, after a few years away from the camera, I'm looking forward to again creating beautiful natural light images. I have a career's worth of advertising and design work behind me, all of which colors what I do.

References Over the past 20 plus years, I've worked with dozens and dozens of models and become friends with many of them. Many of them are no longer active but I'll be happy to get you in touch with a few that are.
