About Me

Mythology Studios specializes in portrait, character, martial arts, sports, corporate, and beauty/fashion photography. Michael Neal brings his own particular style which reflects his love of martial arts, filmmaking, and fine art portrait photography.

We also specialize in filmmaking and video for documentaries, commercials, interviews, and narrative films. We are currently producing and directing the Swords of Insurgency web series which is a post-apocalyptic action/drama.

Other services that we offer are film production support, audio recording services, and web design.

We can either come to you anywhere in the Northern Virginia/DC metro area with our portable mini studio or you can visit us in Bristow, VA which is near Gainesville, Manassas, Haymarket just a few miles from Jiffy Lube Live. We offer discounts for Non-Profit Organizations.

Creativity runs in Michael’s family, cousin Charles Bonniwell, Jr. was an Assistant Director for the Twilight Zone TV series among many film and TV productions such as Scarecrow (1973), Cinderella Liberty (1973), Bite the Bullet (1975), Act of the Heart (1970), Name of the Game (1969), and more. Another cousin, Sean Bonniwell, was one of the fathers of psychedelic, garage and punk rock, with his group The Music Machine (1965–69), he was the writer, vocalist, and rhythm guitarist. Earlier in his career (1963-64) Sean played guitar in the Wayfarers.

Grandfather, Francis Neal, was a freelance photographer for the Washington Post.
