Born on the island of Cyprus, Myrto Meletiou is a dancer/singer/actress who has started her dancing and singing career at the age of five. She has taken part in many musicals in cooperation with the Russian Cultural Center and the British Association of Actors and Actresses, and has been receiving dance classes for over 2 decades. At age 7 she was chosen to take part in her first TV commercial for LOIS jeans, and has been working as a print and TV commercials model ever since, taking part in projects for famous products and brands, from MacDonalds, to Coca-Cola, The Cyprus College's annual adverts (print and TV), University of Nicosia TV advert - also cowriting and performing their promo song for the year 2010, and many other famous brands and organizations. Myrto's style is greately influenced by soul, rock, pop, RnB and funk genres. Apart from modeling, Myrto is also involved in the dance and music scene, her most recent project being her performance in the musical THE PRODUCERS as a singer/dancer/actress. Myrto also took part in a music reality called POP-STARS, winning a place in the final 10 and signing a 5-year contract with Warner productions in Greece. However, looks in not all that it takes if you want to conquer your dreams. This is why Myrto finished her studies and obtained a BA degree in psychology and became the editor of the first writers journal for young Cypriots, taking part in many contests for young writers. She won multiple awards and eventually published her short stories and poems 6 times in 3 different countries (Cyprus, Luxembourg, and Malta). In 2005 She enrolled at Broadway Dance Center and became a possible candidate of the OUTSTANDING STUDENT AWARD. She took part in concerts and shows all over Manhattan and after attending a 3-month audition trial by Wisdom Entertainment she was chosen as one of the 3 members of a girl band. After two years of performing in New York City, she set for Europe where she performed with her band in Greece and Italy. Shortly after that she released her first personal CD single entitled FLY AWAY and is currently writing the songs for her Album. She has cooperated with many artists and producers, among them BELLYHOUSE NEW YORK, producing and releasing songs as part of compilation CDS in Greece, Europe and New York, CYBBC, MC Donald's, and many more. In a recent trip she took to New York City she took part in a videoclip with WYCLEF JEAN and BETO PEREZ (the founder of Zumba) called "Historia". She is currently working as a Zumba instructor and is still taking part in TV commercials and print magazines at first chance. Myrto is always seeking for new projects that will add to her experiences and this is what she wishes to get from this site.
