Alright, I know the Heys suitcase is water proof but how is it against the heat?

AND

Do you think it looks unprofessional to get a regular soft rolling suitcase?

I have a few friends who do motion picture makeup, as well as sfx stuff...  And they often use the Stanley rolling toolbox. It has a folding handle, and multiple compartments. Larger areas below hold airbrush compressors, hair curlers, etc.

I use a soft suit case right now. My products are in small plastic boxes and I like to stack them in the suit case on top of each other. Because the suit case is square, they fit perfectly two across. I can also leave the suit case standing and open so if I need to get something out of it I can. The front and top of the boxes are all labled.

I will try to post some pictures at some point.

I have not really been out in the weather with it a ton yet because I drive. I will be moving to New York though, so it is something to think about.

Heys stand up to any weather conditions!  I use mine in the cold and heat and they are often transporated in the back of a pick up in the rain and snow with no adverse affects!

That thing rocks- I used it to truck my art supplies around in college smile

Personally I use the Heys x-case, which is the smaller carry-on version. But I can imagine some using the x-caseXL (the 26" or the 30"). I've been tempted to get the next size up, but I think that'd only give me an excuse to buy more makeup and lug around so many things I rarely use and/or don't need. big_smile

How do you keep all your stuff organized in just a piece of luggage?

What do you guys use for compartments?

I have the stanley toolbox, and it sure is tough carrying up stairs and such.  Very tough

You can use clear vinyl bags, ziplog bags, any containers like lunch boxes ...
