Everyone knows by now, what a challenge it can be to win "Your Pic of the Day". Many of the images submitted each day are top drawer quality and the competition is fun, exciting, and tough.

Many of our winners are announcing in the credits of their profile page that they've won "Your Pic of the Day", so we'd like to give them an emblem to post with their announcement.

We need a "Your Pic of the Day" Logo and an emblem that we can award to First Place winners each day. Maybe the emblem could be posted in bronze, silver, gold, and platinum, correlating with Pic of the Day, Week, Month, and Year. (something new on the horizon) smile

If you come up with something you like, post it in this thread  and then message me and I'll come take a look.

With over 11,000 posts and growing bigger every day, "Your Pic of the Day" is here to stay. The emblem or logo we choose by final vote may become a long enduring symbol of photographic excellence and accomplishment here in Model Mayhem, so come on and let's make this a part of your legacy~ smile

Thanks,

Craig Seay

YES~!! It's a start. Let's see how many ideas we can get and then we'll start to narrow it down to a final choice. We may even pick all those we really like and have viewers vote on their favorite. I don't know yet but let's see what happens. smile

This gets my vote, but I would have the word "winner" there as well and would be great if we have the silver and bronze one for the 2nd and 3rd more voted.

The idea of a Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze medallion or emblem might go great with a Pic of the Day, Week, Month, and Year...something in the planning stage. wink

I've asked Brian to make a minor modification to these so we will anxiously await his next post. I think we are getting close on the medallions.

Next we will need an official "Your Pic of the Day" logo or banner to post on the front page of the thread and also on the Pbase "WINNERS GALLERY". Any ideas~??????? smile

I came up with more of a plaque. In the little black box, it could state either the date, for one-time winners, or for those who are multiple winners, something like this.

Just a thought.

I'd like to see this one refined a bit..Like a standard...Do we have a need for Bronze..silver Gold?

Also, are these going on winners ports or are they being designed to go on the actual image?

Let's try bronze as "Pic of the Day". the silver as "Pic of the Week", gold as "Pic of the Month" and Platinum as "Pic of the Year".

I like all these ideas.  Good stuff.

This style is my favorite.  I think it could be a little smaller however...

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v60/krankykreme/MMPicOfTheDay.gif

If they were icon sized you could just keep adding them in a row.

Very cool idea Jason. I believe I have come to the conclusion that we should offer our winners their choice of at least 3 or 4 different emblems. Options are always good~!! smile

You should see about getting the pict of the day put up on the home page of the site.  Then you would have more entries that you could handle...lol

WOW some great ideas since I last checked!

I still like the original medallon style, but the "bling" one has a nice tone/sparkle to it.  I think the original needs more red in the bronze one.  I do think Gold and Silver are needed for first and second place.  I like the icon idea, because ideally the emblem shouldn't distract from the quality photo and I like the idea about multiple winners either having several icons in a row on their profile or whereever and also the counter on the emblem.  I also love how the "bling" one shows the picture...what if it was in a frame style instead (even though I love the circle shape) so that the middle was transparent and could reveal the lovely winner underneath?  Also, I still think they all need more depth of field.  I love texture and think they all look too smooth still, too flat.  But great work so far to all!

Yes, we are going to offer several options in emblems to the winners. So far these are my preference. http://www.chipshotz.com/ProofsPage.html
