Hi guys -

I've never really dealt with working on curly hair before, what are some tips/product advice you can give (preferably products that can be found at walmart). For either making curly hair look soft and supple or straightening it completely...?

thanks so much!

This is what i use on my curly hair and it is awesome. makes my curls bouncy and very soft, also for shoots etc, it does not weigh it down or leave a weird residue!!

Tagging on to this thread:

What do you use on frizzy curly hair to calm it down without giving it that wet crunchy look? My friend has a not-so-pretty-curl and she has her hair straightened but its so fried it just looks bad. I told her to let her hair go natural but she doesnt know how to wear it curly.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I have the curliest hair you've ever seen in your life but I tame it with some amazing products:

Bumble and bumble
-shampoo
-thickening conditioner
-leave in, rinse out conditioner
-frizz controlling gel

Kerastase
-shampoo
-conditioner

I use all of the Bumble and bumble products daily and the Kerastase once a month.

To control my curls and shape them I use L'Oreal Absolute Wet Gel right after I get out of the shower (when my hair is REALLY wet), it has to be wet.  You just gently come it through hair with your fingers and then scrunch it.  Then air dry.

Curly hair is very difficult, but it can be very beautiful if taken care of!

Ditto on this line.  I love just about everything they offer.  Very affordable and a little goes a long way.

Don't brush curly hair.  "Brush" it with your fingers in the shower when you condition.  That'll cut down on frizz a bit....and it's free.
