Bump'ed March 2nd with some new work up!
-

My work includes a decent variety, but be aware that there are quite a few 18+/nude images and some fetish/bondage in there as well.

Aside from seeking photo comments and directional suggestions,
Constructive not-going-to-poke-my-eye-out criticisms of any sort are always appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Constructive critiques only, please
Earlier someone just told me that I looked like a blow up doll, gave me a vague statement about needing to "be more into it" and directed me to a random fetish model's website.- That's an example of something that wasn't particularly constructive/helpful.

you have some nice arty type shots, but don't wear white shoes with a swimsuit, don't shoot with dishwashing gloves, and I consider myself a fairly open minded guy I like all types of photography, but i hate hate hate women tied up and bound in photos, i'm sure theres an alure for it somewhere, but i don't see it, thats just my opinion.

no white shoes, barefeet instead, work on your expressions.

cute but dump, might work in the fetish world.

I try to lay low on commenting on nudes, because it might sound like "oh you just like it cause i'm nude"  But the one of you on your belly with the waterfall in the back is the most beautiful shot in your port.  If you do more soft photos like that I think it would be great.  Now if you are ok with tied up in chains type of photos so be it and that gets you work go for it.  So i will not say take those down, some of them are ok on a photographic stand point.

You're off to a good start in your Port, and some of it is quite good.  The first pic in the top row is the only one I would say get rid of, only because you're laying landscape in a Portrait pic.  It just doesn't work.  He's right about the white shoes also!

I'm not really into the bondage and fetish genres. I have nothing against them or the people who work in those genres, it's just not my thing. You seem to get a lot of fetish shoots so I assume you're doing something right.

You could do with some practice in varying facial expressions. You seem bored in a lot of your photos. I'd also suggest consulting with hair and make up stylists.

I have to agree about the waterfall shot... very lovely! You'd do quite well with some "kinder, gentler" shots.

You're in the queue for the DCP - it may take a little while, but I'll get to you over there.

Hi! If you're looking for paid jobs you should have a few natural pics in your portfolio. A nice head and full length shot in a jeans and a simple top. Very little make up... A pic like that can still be attractive if done well. That would help the clients to see your natural beauty. Good luck!

Hi Amaya,

The two in the blue bathing suit are nice but I'd have gotten rid of the shoes.  Maybe you can reshoot those one day soon.  The full length nude of you is nice but the  background sucks.  More like this but on a nicer background.  On this pic in the red dress.....

I'd have gotten rid of the glasses.

Does your ring in the bottom lip come out?

Good job, just keep plugging away.

The beach shoot isn't a swimsuit, it's a longish tanktop/tunic/etc,. It was a "wetlook" shoot rather than swimsuit and was in full outfits including shoes for all of those sets; you don't seem to be the only one saying to lose the shoes, though, so I'll definitely consider that for future beach shoots of the sort.

The gloved photos were from a suicide girls-esque (alt-porn) set that began with me washing dishes, but I guess it does seem a little odd without the explanation.

& Fetish/bondage is where I get most of my work and is what pulled me into modeling (big surprise), so it's really inevitable with me.

I have gotten quite a few comments on the beach shots being weaker, which I can see in the poses when considering them overall, but I'll look a bit more into the expressions that you mention.

& I've actually almost taken down "the mermaid shot", but the continued praise causes me to consider otherwise.

Thank you!

I'd never considered the "laying landscape in a portrait pic" factor., & a nod to the second comment on the white shoes.
Thanks!

I am fairly new and learning from every shoot,. sometimes the photos from certain shoots don't turn out as I'd expected, so I am continually trying to improve my poses & expressions./ & I can't afford to pay hair & makeup stylists and there isn't usually the option for most of my shoots, but I am hoping to incorporate those collaborations more.
Thanks

Adding some simple shots wasn't something yet added to the list of priorities, so thanks for mentioning it; I fear the simple meandmealone shots, hence favoring more arty shots in my port, but it would probably be a good idea.

Yeep, another comment on the shoes..
as I'd mentioned above, it wasn't a bathing suit, though,. it was a "wetlook" shoot with full outfits, but that doesn't really change anything with the opposition to how the shoes look.
& The lip ring does come out.
Thanks.

I think the tinfoil room is the best shot in your port and I totally disagree about removing the fetish shots but that's just me

That was from a very off-the-cuff shoot/super hot and humid/couldn't tell how I was meshing with the photographer and not my favourite of the images, but I'm glad to hear something good about it.

Amaya,

I have debated seveal answers in my head, and this is my official published response.

Women in particular have enough influences to make them feel inferior and belittled, why ask for more critism.

My opinion, and that of the other readers as well meaning as they may be will only be heard by you as a critique and in a negative maner.  Why bother!

Be happy,  you are beautiful ad any poor images of you is the fault of the photographer.

IMHO
Charles
PS  I love the BDSM theme and full support it  LOL

I seek constructive criticism of my modeling, as that is why I am a part of this site, and I continually strive for improvement. There are certainly non-negative comments/suggestions to be made here such as "be aware of not losing your neck in your poses" and-so-on.

To gather helpful suggestions by others who might see something that I have not considered is why I have an open ear to criticism.

A model's posing, expressions, and such contribute significantly to an image just as the photographer's skill; beautiful girl does not automatically equal successful model, and I want to be more than a cute photographed girl.

& Thank you.

bumping this back to life just because I have so many new images.

Please be aware that much of my work is non-mainstream and includes fetish & bondage stuff, though I have been branching into more mainstream stuff (fine art nude,..)

Constructive not-going-to-poke-my-eye-out criticisms appreciated.

Will offer my critiques, for whatever they may be worth, but first wanted to give kudos for your consistent responses to the posts. Too many people start a thread, seeking something (comments, controversy, help), then never post back! To me that's a good sign that you're punctual, professional and interested in doing your best work possible on a shoot.

Definitely keep the fetish stuff, since that's been your bread-and-butter, and those photographers looking for a bondage model will know they've got the right model.

I agree with the others who note that your on belly-on-the-beach shot is one of the sharpest images. One of the problems, I think, with your bondage shots is they seem (to me) to be the weakest from a technical standpoint. With the exception of the corpse shot, the fetish images seem more like snapshots or test shots than finished products.

My personal fave, from a modeling standpoint, is your full-length nude in b/w. I just love that pose against the wall, it plays to your body's strengths, and you look simply lovely. In terms of providing an image that suggests you can "model" and are not just a girl willing to be tied up, this one is the most attractive to me.

Some of your images are beautiful.  I think you do great going out and getting work.  You go for it and you get work thats a good thing.  However even though you are getting paid you still should be somewhat choosy of the type of work you do.  Some of your images shows there was no technique or set ideas for a shoot.  Kind of looks like "I just want to shoot a female naked".  Your portfolio would be much much stronger with just 20 great shots or even 10 great shots instead of fillers.

But hey if you are making money getting paid work and you are happy then thats great.

PS you must have been bored Aug post? LOL

I think you could make good money in the porn industry [i'm not saying video, but still pornographic pictures]

But "i think" fashion &commercial markets won't work-out for you

I've actually gotten lots of offers for penthouse-style nude work and I'd certainly be financially set if I decided to go that way, but it's a bridge that I'm not about to cross at this point.
I'm not really aspiring for fashion & commercial markets, as I'm only 5'4" and have a fairly non-mainstream look, I think,.
Thanks!

I was struggling with only 20 image slots, as I get work in so many different styles & genres and wanted to represent examples of as many as possible for marketing purposes. I'm also always trying to strike a balance between the display of images that artistically please me, that are good quality port-use shots, and attempting to show some versatility through diverse images.
I travel fulltime and don't do high-paying adult work, so the jobs that I accept to keep moving range from excellent quality work with respected artists to posing for someone still trying to conquer the technical basics to website fetish work which is meant to sell as based upon the content but has little concern for artistic/technical value- in short, at this moment I simply book what pays and hope that along the way I am able to make some great images as well.

Thanks!

Love your avatar shot.  I have commented on your photos before I like many of them, you are beautiful and the thing that stands out most or one of things is that you work hard and go out and get modeling jobs.  I admire that.

This is just my observation based on MY tastes, and opinion of your looks - I don't think that the bondage or heavy fetish work does you any justice. Artistic or a goth-glam are OK, but I think a brighter, sexier look would fit you better!

I think you have lots of good things going for you : You're very pretty, SEXY, have a FIT and very well proportioned body, you know how to pose yourself and give very good expressions that elicit a response in the viewer, and your hair length/color are versatile and adaptable.

I'd like to see you try to add more glamorous, brighter images to your repertoire. I'd love to see you shot ala Maxim, FHM, etc...  I really believe you'd excel at that. I'd also like to see you smile in one or two poses, something genuine & something naughty wink

Oh, I really dig yer Avi!!!  MEOW!

Good Luck!!!
