Studio resource threads.

Do you have a studio to rent? Read this thread.
https://www.modelmayhem.com/p.php?thread_id=65274

or

https://www.modelmayhem.com/p.php?thread_id=64651

I am unsure how the threads should be broken down as far as location.
I do not think one for each city is needed yet.

There are three currently for the US.
Maybe some for the major cities are good but the threads are not very long and simplicity works so I like the three only at this point.

Anyone from Canada have a suggestion of what areas to cover?
I do not care who posts it in the end,
Just wait to post for a few days so we figure out what would be best as far as separation of location.

It would be good to have them.

I think you could probably divide it into BC, Prairies, and 'Toronto'

I'd love to be able to find studio rental space in Edmonton.

Maybe seperate by province:

Alberta
British Columbia
Manitoba
New Brunswick
Newfoundland and Labrador
Nova Scotia
Ontario
Prince Edward Island
Quebec
Saskatchewan

And the three territories: Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon.

Great idea, however most of the 'province' threads would never get any 'action'

Vancouver and Toronto are really the only two places in Canada where there's any sort of serious model/photographer business happening.

The rest of us try our best.

my guess would be on thread may be enough, maybe two, let's call them east and west. Another site has canadian listing, just one list, and it really isn't all that time consuming to go through them.

Major cities across Canada. Toronto, Montreal, Winnipeg, Calgary, Vancouver, Halifax. Major suppliers tend to be in the larger urban centres such as Toronto.

See my Resources for marketing, advertising and graphic design professionals for Canadian and U.S. resources. I've included a short description/comment for each resource. You can get an idea of where some of the largest Canadian photo suppliers are (both Vistek and Headshots started in Toronto and established branches in other Canadian cities)

I'm currently in the process of creating a new website which should be up sometime in February which will include a expanded list of resources.

Unfortunately I do not think you will find too many in Vancouver. However I would not mind to see the list I might get surprised. wink

I would break it down by region, not necessary province.

Eastern Canada
Quebec
Ontario
Prairies
British Columbia
Far North

I think by region would be the most useful.

If you still plan to have only three zones in Canada for studio rentals, I suggest one for Ontario, one for Western and Northern Canada (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Colombia, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut), and one for Quebec and Eastern Canada (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador).

I think cities should be used as long as only those with a Studio are listed.

I hate trying to find a Model in Ontario and it would be the same for a studio. It takes too long to find a Model in in my city. Have never understood why we pay the same as the US users but do not get a postal code or city search.

I think by region would be more useful : Ex. Toronto GTA, Ottawa Valley.

Located only five minutes from downtown Ottawa I offer a large photography studio and darkroom fully equipped for rent on a daily or weekly basis.

There are few commercial studios for rent in Vancouver. Since Vancouver is noted for its great locations, I would suggest a list of shooting locations.

Could simply start a list for all of Canada.

Once it got too big. Divide it up.
By that point it should be easy to see how it should be done.

I'd say divide Canada into ....

East .....  Maritimes thru Quebec
Central ...  Ontario
West ..... Manitoba and west

I have a studio in Newmarket, Ontario and would welcome a directory like this here on MM.

I have a studio for rent in Downtown Toronto for a reasonable price. Where would I go about putting up a listing for my space on MM?
