Yes, I have. I have found all the info I needed then by using the search function. Good luck! Have your model shave all the peach fuzz. smile

I tried to work with "liquid latex" on my "Human Sculpture" project.  I bought a whole bunch of it, in several colors.  The model and I tried to put it on her (she had to shave the areas where it was applied and we could not go near her eyes or hair).  It was stinky, it did not cover well (white) and we applied several coats of latex.

Our solution was to go an Art Supply store and buy water based body and face paint.  It worked out MUCH better.  We could go around her eyes and even put it in her hair.  It washed off in a few minutes.  When we peeled the liquid latex off of the model, she felt discomfort.  There are far more colors available in water based body and face paint than there is of liquid latex.

Just my two cents worth (based on experiences)

Good luck!

BTW: I am in Love the city of Perth.  I have visited there and enjoyed every second of my stay.  Mulaloo Beach, Observation City Hotel, Rottnest Island, Freemantle, Perth itself.  I loved it all!!!  Especially the very friendly people and I was amazed at how vibrant the nightlife was in that town!!!  Truely outstanding.  I've been all over the world and the nightclubs in Perth are excellent!!!

hahaha vibrant nightlife? in perth? are you sure? you must come from a very small country town hahahaha. perth is ever so boring when you live here though.

i've been told there are good latex products, and terrible ones. may i ask what one you decided to use? im not doing an allover body application and its actually for using underwater. i appreciate your feedback though smile

Latex has to dry then apply another coat.
Make sure to prep the body with lotion before the latex.
Shave.
Check to see if the product has a web site address and USE IT
make sure you research the product you use.

I have worked with it.  It certainly is an experience.
MAKE SURE YOU SHAVE EVERY INCH OF THE AREA TO BE COVERED!  Back, arms, tush...etc.

I would advise that you do your face makeup and hair first, check your lighting, etc.  The latex takes a while to apply, with atleast two coats.
Know that the latex will stick to itself, so as we painted, we had the model keep her arms straight out from her body....be sure to provide something to rest them on, so as to not torture her.

Once it is dry, you can lube it up to prevent sticking.

But, get your shots quickly.  As the skin begins to perspire, the latex will lift, and wrinkle. I would guestimate that you have about 30 minutes of shooting time with it.

She thought I was kidding about shaving EVERYTHING.  So we gave her three shots of tequila, and told her to "pull hard"

We used Deviant as well.  We ordered the black and white so far.  The white was actually a little more runny, which made it a bit trickier to work with, but I don't know about the other colors.

Don't let the pictures fool you.  I doubt the chick in the skirt is wearing a liquid latex skirt.  Or, they painted a flat surface, let it dry, and wrapped that around her.  I would suppose you would then add another coat on top.

All the other girls are wearing underwear.  If you look closely at the girl in the red "pants", you can see she experienced the same issues we did...the latex lifted in the areas of the body where we crease, i.e., the crotch.

I don't think I would ever truly trust the stuff to go out in it, unless I took the paint with me. But for shoots, it's fine.  Keep it super lubed.

The shots we got were great, but it was a long process, and the material is temperamental.  It was a very cool experience, and even cooler to watch it being peeled off.

yeah what would be pretty cool watching it peel off.

i wouldnt work with it much in the studio per se. maybe for an odd job or by request but i mainly want it for underwater in a flesh colour and paint it like that. ass about way of getting the job done but its the only solution.

It was fun and it was easy to take off my face.

But after a while of peeling it off my body, several parts became bright red. sad

I was on a (film) project where we had some girls painted with Deviant by artists sent by Deviant. Hot lights + 12 hour day.

Important things:

Have a large fan near by. It will help with drying, especially if you're going to do several layers (I think they did 3 layers). It will also help the model's sweat evaporate.

Try to leave some skin unexposed (if it's a full body paint) so perspiration can escape.

Have some juice on hand (to get the blood sugar back up), because some people will be faint from not being able to perspire properly. Park them by the fan.

This was my experience with Deviant Liquid Latex. PLEASE make sure you moisturize before hand.Especially if you are not going to be keeping it on very long. Paint quickly and in large areas. It can be tough getting a smooth finish if you dont. The blue image, i used less moisturizer and i found the application was smoother and reqired less. However, i had to leave it on longer so it would naturally separate from her skin. Pain.

The second image, the black image, i used a generous amount of moisturizer. I need 3 coats to get it solid and that took awhile. Once it was on and dry it began to separate from the body. Which actually looked cool, almost snake-like skin.It worked to my advantage:)

In conclusion, be patient and make sure you buy enough latex to do a full body. Buy sponge brushes and rollers to apply.

I've done liquid latex once; much prefer real latex, though.

Latex is stinky, sticky, difficult to work with, and removes hair. It is not fun for most participants and is a real pain in the ass to clean up. Also, be fully aware that latex allergies can develop on people who have not had reactions before. Allergic reactions to latex can be very dangerous, even deadly. If you cover too much of the body in latex, you can raise the bodies core temperature and basically induce a serious fever and/or heat stroke.

Please be aware of ALL the issues before you start. You'll save yourself and your model considerable hassle.
