I haven't tried Kett personally but I did watch an application being done at a makeup show by the creators. It was Kett Hydro. demi matte finish which would be appropriate for High def. I just got Temptu from Camerareadycosmetics.com (Thank you Mary!!) and I LOVES it! The dewy finish is beautiful! I think it has become my favourite airbrush makeup now!

I personally have only tried temptu but I did look at the others out there and I like the finish that the s/b gives.

Once you invest in a compressor and brush, must you always use the same foundation? I know that sounds like a no-brainer question. I'm just thinking that there would be times where Temptu's dewy finish would be good then times where Kett's matte would be good. It seems like there's a strong one-or-the-other mentality. Is that just brand loyalty? Brainwashing?

Just like many have multiple brands of foundation, shadows or whatever in the kit, the same applies to what goes through your airbrush.

Now, the danger is on-the-set compabability. Some airbrush ingredients don't play well with others. As long as the brush is CLEAN, you can move between products. As long as you don't confuse thinners, cleaning solutions, or products, you'll be fine.

Me, I dedicate an airbrush for water based foundations. A set of airbrushes are for body paint. Then there's a completely different set for apromotive paints. Expensive? Maybe. But my time is better spend painting than tearing down airbrushes. That's my way of keeping the sepearation of church and state.

I just tried Temptu SB Foundation last nite and it was a PAIN to clean.  Don't try cleaning it with water thats for sure, you have to use the special cleaner and even then it still doesn't get clean enough.  But I like the look!

Umm.. wouldn't this be like putting oil and vinegar together..? Just constantly seperate.? I've got SB products (not either of the above mentioned.. yet wink  ) and I use alcohol to clean my gun out..

I don't airbrush (yet), but I tried some Kett today at the IMATS London show, and it had a really nice consistency and color range - the colors were what I appreciated about it most...

I like Temptu.  It's less dry looking on the face and gives a nice dewy glow.

Definitely DON'T mix water and silicone, it will curdle! There's a reason that it's not easy to switch between water-based and silicone-based products... very testy!

I really love my Temptu. I've been using it a lot lately. More than I ever have before. It's so easy and fast. And I love the dewy finish. It's so flawless!
