Zip doesn't work in WinRar and with the Win XP zip program it says the password is incorrect.   :-\

Exact: dandbtutorial (Copy and paste into password field)

I used PowerArchiver to Zip.

It worked for me.

Aforementioned poster Mr. LeeK has gratuitously extended an invitation to host this file.

He'll update with his link.

Thanks Lee! I appreciate your gesture very much.

Best,

Disclaimer: I do my best to take good care of my skin. I am not wearing any makeup. Hahaha.

Just telling you. I apply a Lancome Pure Focus (oil free!) facial moisturizer daily and wash my face twice with Obagi Nu Derm Foaming gel.

Please feel free to write me here if you require further clarifications.

Let me know how does the tutorial go for you! I've been helped a lot from my "unofficial mentors" so I think it is about time I contribute to the MM knowledge pool.

People who are just joining in....you'll be retouching this face!!!

Hahaha. I volunteer to be your D & B guinea pig!

Yeah I don't really use layers either.  I use them but when I'm done getting them where I want I merge them down because I don't really understand how they work in terms of keeping them and being able to edit all layers at once.  I swear I've tried linking them and it didn't do what I wanted.

You guys, layers are your friends and so are layer mask!

Train your mind to work in that mindset.

All of my TIFFS are 16 bit and have so many layers. Once I am satisfied, I flattened them.

I never ever do destructive editing. Each area I retouch is on a separate new layer. For example, in my typical "Retouching" group, I have a new layer for face, chest/torso, and maybe if needed, legs, etc.

I never ever blur--only on the layer masks to smooth the transitions.

You know that saying, old habits are difficult to correct? Well, start to learn the right way!

I understand the reason to use them, but like you, one the images is flattened I forget how I got there and to those reading this, I do not save the TIFF.

I know my images could look a bit better, but I'm still working on my lighting, then I'll focus on some basic PS tools.

For those having trouble downloading to a MAC, try right click on the link and select "download linked file" or alt + left click. I used Stuffit expander to decompress the file and it worked for me. For some reason the native expander on the MAC does not like the zip file.

I did a fast version,  a big variation on the theme here, no tablet, I don't use them, I like rodents personally, its a family thing wink

Anyway, the color scheme is dramatically different mainly since my typical palette and style is very different from Mr Tan, so in effect you can say I Eastwoodized it  (trademark pending wink )

The larger version is linked below if you want to see details up close.
