I love them because they're so easy to blend and they're just so intense, however, the only brand I have used so far is MAC.  What brands do you use and why?  I'm curious to find out what those no longer usuing MAC are using...is there another brand of loose pigments that is just as good or better?
and which do you prefer for an intense eyeshadow?   regular powdered shadows or loose pigments mixed with a medium?

I like those alot. I have several for personal use and in my kit. However I still do use mac pigments and benefit has some beautiful loose eyeshadow colors.

Hey! I used to work for Bare Escentuals and let me tell you they have the BEST pigments. Just to even mention, these are actual crushed minerals too. They look absolutely amazing with high payoff. Check them out! BareMinerals. The price is amazing too. 12 for matte and 13 for shimmers. You can use them as wet liner or dry and also to "foil" which gives it a very nice wet shimmer look like foil paper.

I've been using Make Up For Ever's "Star Powders" for years and they always deliver fabulous results when I want a highly concentrated loose shimmer product.  The new MUFE loose "Diamond Powders" are off the hook as far as HIGH BEAM, diamond-like shine.

For intensely pigmented eyeshadows (pressed), I use La Femme, MUFE or Il' Makiage.
They have a wallop of pigment and work very well either wet or dry.

Yep, Star Powders are the shiznit. And if you go to the NYC store, they have so many effin' colors. I don't think Sephora carries all of the shades.

xo.

if you want shimmery, mehron has these things called diamond powders or gem powders or something, but they are awesome. if you go to a pro make-up supply store. which out here would be naimies, frends, image exclusives...etc... you can usually find quite a few pro brands to tinker with. cinema secrets, kryloan, ben nye...etc...

I like the Star Powders or True Colors.  They both came out great.  I've used the True Colors to add highlights to hair too, worked really well.
