Does anyone know of any books or web site that show how to do that stle of hair seen in so many beautiful pinups?

I taught myself without any books.. just practiced and looked at photos of images of ol skool styles..   Wish I had the time to learn some from a pro though.

This is a little sideways, but you may enjoy hairdresser Serge Normant's book Femme Fatale shot by Michael Thompson.

There is this book, http://www.amazon.com/1940s-Hairstyles- … 1930064012
But it is out of print and goes for OUTRAGOUS prices!!

I suggest buying yourself a mannequin head, some hot rollers, hair spray and bobby pins and practicing. That's what I did.
But I also bribed some of my hairstylist friends with booze and food, so they'd come over and give me some lessons.
Goodluck!

Cyn

I have a PDF of the ENTIRE book "1940s Hairstyles" by Diana Turudich. I downloaded it from a link someone posted on a myspace group discussion on a similar topic, but of course now I can't find the link. But if you want a copy of the PDF, msg me with your email and I will send it to you!
