About Me

I am an exhibiting visual artist who incorporates photography into multi-disciplinary artwork.  What ties my various types of art & photography together is a dedication to collaboration and a curiosity about society and people.

Through my Model Mayhem profile I seek creative and inspired individuals to work with. I pay models for nudes, and do some non-nude TFP. I am available to hire for portfolio work, various types of content, and headshot/publicity/promotional work.

Pete Checchia Photography & Arts Studio is located in Philadelphia in the Northern Liberties neighborhood. It functions as my photo studio, an exhibition space, the occasional Pop-Up Shop, and a space that can be rented as a photo studio or for various other purposes including as a storefront window display.

Travel, location, street photography are important aspects of my artistic expression and are incorporated in much of my art work.

Along with creating art I make a living as a full-time freelance & studio photographer.
I specialize in classical music and the performing arts. I shoot for Carnegie Hall, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Curtis Institute of Music and other high-end arts organizations.
I do studio publicity work for many of the classical music worlds leading artists, rising stars, and established groups and ensembles.
Inquire about my rates for studio work as I have a sliding scale for simple headshots to more elaborate concept shoots. *musicians*  *actors*  *dancers*  *corporate headshots* *portraits* the words of the immortal Leonard Cohen "I'm Your Man"

I have a budget to pay models for some shoots. I also do TFCD with models trading for images for my art work. I love collaborating on concepts of mutual interest.

"Pete is one of my favorite photographers on the planet. Aside from his fantastic eye and great taste in art, he is super professional and easy to work with. Really allows the model to kind of get in their own world and lets our creativity come naturally. Also a great friend. Highly recommend him!" Read less
