Updated 5-15 ==================================================== Time for our 5th semi-annual Skyline Drive Meet! Date: Sunday, May 24th (memorial weekend) What is it? The Skyline meet is an outdoor social networking event for photographers and models. This is a family-friendly event at the Shenandoah National Park. The group will meet and travel in caravan. We will go from stop to stop to take pictures, enjoy the view, and have a picnic. I'm throwing a little spin this time with the meet up details. For the convenience of our friends in southern Virginia, we will have 3 meet up points. Time Table: 10:30am - North Entrance group will meet at our usual location (K-mart parking lot - 465 SOUTH ST, Front Royal, VA, 22630). 11:00am - North Entrance group will form a caravan into the park. 12:00 noon - Hazel Mountain (mile post 33). This is the cliff with big rocks where we normally stop in the late afternoon. People from southern VA will met here and wait for the north group to arrive. If you're from lynchburg, harrisonburg, this is the meeting point closest to you. 2:00pm - Picnic Ground: Our next meeting point will be the Pinnacles Picnic Area @ mile post 37. This will be our 2nd long stop. 4:00pm - we will head towards the Dark Hollow Falls. People who doesn't want to hike can play in the Big Meadow area nearby. We should have workable day light until 7:30. We can stop at a few more places, or we can break off. I plan on stopping at a few overlooks going back out north.
