What are some of the ways to get nipples to stand up "perky" for photo shoots without coming across as being a perve ?

If this is important to your vision of the shot then just tell the model ahead of time. She'll know what's required and then be prepared for the shoot. It's really no different than asking anything else concerning the shoot. Be professional!

If your question was about making 5 year old's nipples stand up and not appear pervy, you should have been more specific. As it wasn't (as you and I both know), I'll amend my statement. Anyone you are shooting where the nipples are required to be "perky" will know how to do it. You just have to ask them.

The way we did it at Playboy was to use canned air (DustOff) and turn the can upside down.
Spray the breasts and torso from about 2 feet away (so you don't burn the model with extremely cold spray).
There is no leftover residue or wet areas and the effect is immediate and should last several minutes KM

wow this is getting intense, ok heres the method that has been around forever and is still used at playboy, simply use canned air the kind you use to clean your keyboard, ya just a tiny little sprits on the nipples and your good, and again just a quick sprits, too much and it can hurt because it is really cold
