How strong is my portfolio, I new to photography and want some critique. Are there any strong photos? Are they all pretty weak? Let me know. Thanks in advance.

That is an over exposed face
Model has no neck, raise her chin
Move the subject from the center of the image

Poor pose of knee, do not point at camera
Place hips on angle to camera

A blurry image, with models arm cut off
Recommended for fast removal

This one is my favorite in your portfolio. It's the most balanced and I like the pose except for her one hand that disappears against the brick (minor, minor flaw).

All three of these images have one thing in common: the awkward placement of the face. I'm in the camp for how photography rules were made to be broken but how the rule of thirds affects images is important. The position of the models' faces isn't quite centered and isn't quite in a third, it's just kind of...there. If this is the type of look you're going for, try zooming out and showing more of the model. You might like the results.

First, the bad:

Terrible image on multiple levels. It's out of focus. It's blown out. It's badly composed. the expression is unflattering. Kill this image.

Very unflattering. Needs *some* degree of editing to soften the skin. And the expression is dour. Kill this image.

I'm torn about this one. It shows personality (good) but it's eerily reminiscent of ducklip self-sabotage (very bad).

The good:

You come across beautifully in this. It's your best image, IMO.

Again, you come across beautifully. Your face is a little too hot/bright.

The pose forces your left tricep to look fat (I did that in one of my port images, too!). Bend the elbow slightly and your tricep shouldn't bunch up like that. Otherwise, a pretty nice image.

I see a general theme to your work, and if you maintain that look, then it may actually become your style

This image, on the other hand...

Seems so out of place with the mood of the other images, that it is distracting at best, inappropiate taken in the context of the group of images.

This image looks "cutesy commercial", but the lighting is inappropiate.
