Before you declare something "cliche" or "played out", you should have something completely innovative and original in your port.

thoughts?

SHOULD.  But how many people on this site are doing what they SHOULD be doing?

This site has 75,000 five foot fashion models.

It has 100,000 photographers that shoot "MAXIM Style" photos with a bed sheet tacked to a wall and on camera flash.

Nay my friend.  This is NOT the place to look for people doing what they SHOULD do.

I should be working.. I should have never picked up a camera..

You know that cliff we were talking about earlier.. The ones with the fools jumping and the wise saying don't go?

I didn't jump..

But I sure as hell threw my luggage over the edge.

And you dont need to be a great basketball player in order to be a great coach.

This site is generally I slap each other on the back kinda site, right?  Its not like www.photosig.com where people are supposed to critque shots and make that kind of comment (cliche),  But that site I find has many more hacks (photographers only) % than does MM

I don't use bed sheets tacked to the wall and have studio lights, but I am not too far from the 100,000.  Any suggestions on sites to check?

Anyone who thinks there is anything innovative and original left to be done in photography is being cliche. Its all been done before, and probably better.

That doesn't mean we shouldn't tack our bedsheets to the wall and shoot away with our camera's built-in flashes does it?

Mathematically, that idea doesn't add up correctly.
