while browsing portfolios today I thought of this when I saw a couple of male models who had a tight close up shot of their abs from the neck down and waist up in their port.  Like we couldn't see their washboard abs with just a regular full body shirtless shot. lol I know I've seen concepts I've tried to copy in my own way.  What have you seen?

These color prints are out of control! One guy does it, and now EVERYONE is taking images in color.

It's so overdone.

Train tracks anyone? If I see one more model standing over traintracks, I'm going to go lie down on some!!

Oh wait, and the toilet/bathtub thing is getting a little old. Do I REALLY need to see models pretending to pee with their knees together and stiletto heels? Or a cheap excuse to get a naked woman in a bathtub.... oh wait, it's ART!

And flowers. No more flower pictures.

While I still love bathtub shots (dang, have that in my profile) most of this thread is making me laugh.  Was the guy who said color serious?  B and W is so overdone and what is the challenge there?

I may be a little off topic here, but my most over seen thing here is profiles that claim they are not into doing nude shots, followed up by the first shot in their port is their legs over their head with a short skirt on.  C'mon ladies, a well done nude shot is far less sexual than that type of photo.

I don't know what you guys are taling about...with the exception of the train things, I don't see much of those cliches.....I've seen caution tape a few times and the angel wings, but I never seen teh belt over the boobs thing, ever, and I go from port to port.

maybe you should stop going to the same kind of ports

What's the deal with all of these photographs being shot with lenses on the cameras? You know when Gerolomo Cardano was doing it there was an originality to it.  Now.......it's SOOOOOO overdone.

I know what you mean...so I do mostly Life Style, Travel and commercial photography...avoiding the cliche of using humans.

Don't worry about if it's overused, just worry if it's good.

Most new things suck - just keep that in mind.

Caution tape is overused. Painting clothes on a naked model with an airbrush is concept which is overused...and really kinda silly.
