photoflex starlights?
anyone use them?? Feb 15 08 04:04 pm Link For video, think they are pretty cool, 1000wat in a softbox quick release. For stills not enough light for anything I would want. I would sooner use a vivtar 285hv. Stephen Eastwood http://www.StephenEastwood.com Feb 15 08 04:10 pm Link StephenEastwood wrote: Agree. Not enough light. Feb 15 08 04:19 pm Link not enough light as in 'i want to shoot at 'f8/125 iso100' or not enough light for 'f2.8/60th iso 400'? Feb 16 08 11:11 am Link I've just started getting into studio lights and decided that the Photoflex Starlights best approximated natural window light (with the right white balance, of course) within my budget. Right now, I have a medium softbox and 3 foot octodome. I'm really enjoying them! And, if I ever decide to get some strobes, the Photoflex softboxes will still work with them. I tend to shoot from wide open to f/4 or f/5 at the smallest aperture. I think the highest iso I used was 320. I am a pure novice at lighting... but, here are my first few trials... With the single medium softbox... With the medium softbox and octodome... Feb 16 08 04:21 pm Link |
