Sita's List of Awesome Retouching
I didn't want to jack the other thread about highly retouched images, so I thought I'd start my own, and start it on a positive note. Woo. Go positivity. Heavy/noticeable retouching gets a bum rap, I think. People talk about it like it's the coming of Satan, but it can - and often is - done well. I'm a sucker for a slick, lickably retouched image, and I thought I'd post some of my favorite from around MM as examples of when noticeable and stylized retouching can be appropriate and well done, even if that look isn't your favorite thing. PLEASE don't critique the images here - that's not the purpose, and I'd like to keep the thread from being locked. Please PM me any suggestions for the thread. Thank you! I use lots of different techniques on my stuff, depending on the nature of the shot. You may post mine if you want, but... ...I think you may want to credit/reference the photographers whose work you're posting, unless it's all yours. There's been negative talk about the "borrowing" of others' work on the forums recently, for whatever purpose.
