There are certain poses/scenes that I am so sick of seeing, and I have only been on MM for a few month. Someone please find me and kill me if I ever add these to my portfolio .... 1.) Posing like a "model" on the train tracks 2.) Outdoor setting desaturated and a big brightly colored flower in hair 3.) Bra and Panties with a Gun - high plastic body look, of course What overused photo style/pose/attire are you sick of seeing?

As far as I am concerned, if you can take a cliched photo and make it look amazing, it stops being a cliche photo and is just amazing.

Well, it has been a couple of days since I've seen one of these threads. I don't really worry about what other people shoot.

Really in all the world... there is nothing new under the sun. Everything has been done before. It's really a matter of reinterpretation.

I can't find the thread where I suggested that someone needs to create a "cliches" plug-in for photoshop

Bra and Panties with a Gun - high plastic body look, of course What overused photo style/pose/attire are you sick of seeing? Whoo hoo! I haven't done any of them. I hate: *Selected colouring *The "American Beauty" rose petals shot Thankfully, I've definitely avoided the latter and - as far as I know - have never used any selected colouring shots that photographers give me thinking I'm gonna go mad for them! They both seem to be two of the shots that photographers think are some kind of "must do" to prove they're really a photographer or something. Christ knows why. Oh, and I also hate that crappy 1980s-esque "holding the hair up" thing that photographers seem to think is sexy as! I mean the holding it up and away from the head, really messy, like you've been electrocuted or something. I actually refuse to do it in the completely full on way, it never looks good...! I don't know if it really classes as a cliche though

I'm sick of the wi-fi dropping every time some one in the next room uses the microwave, but then I'm also a little scared by that.

Have you seen that happen recently? I have. But other people created them and posting them here would open them up for critiques, so I'm not going to. They're out there. Anyway, as another poster said above, I almost never get ruffled over what other people shoot. I'm far too self-absorbed and fascinated by what I'm shooting.

Hands over the nipples blocking the view. Either get them out and show them to us or keep them covered by clothing! The hands thing is a crock of organic fertilizer. Billy Monday you have my admiration for coming up with the shot covering ALMOST all of the cliche things.
