For the new page..... I am re-setting the closing date for Calendar submissions to: December 17th, 2010 I am also sending out a new bulletin to all on my friends list... wrote: Specs for pictures: sRGB color 200 ppi is required. Landscape orientation: 2850px X 2200px (approximate pixel size) in inches: 14.25 x 11(landscape orientation) Please let me know specifically which image is for which month. All images are to be submitted in .jpg format (JPEG) (Please do not put watermarks or copyright marks on images) If your image is Portrait oriented (upright), remember.. the calendar is wider than it is tall. Ok.. we are looking at months from January 2011 to June 2012. So there will be 2 Januarys, 2 Februarys, 2 Marchs, 2 Aprils, etc.. thru June. Not all images will be included as Full page but please submit them cropped as such. REMEMBER: When cropping, keep in mind the pixel limits above. try to be close.. not way down at 700x900 etc.. the image has to look good at 14.25 x 11 inches. Please include your name as you wish it to appear, along with the name of the model as she wishes it to appear or the name of the photographer as he /she wishes it to appear. I also need the MM numbers of the person submitting the images, and the MM number of the model/photographer if a member of MM. again.. here are the suggested themes I previously posted: Jan: Winter - Ice blues, whites, fur-trim, snow Feb: Valentine's Day - Pinks, reds, hearts, roses, lingerie, chocolate Mar: St. Patrick's Day - Green, gold, rainbow, shamrocks Apr: April Showers - Rain, umbrella, yellow rain jacket/boots, baseball May: Flowers/Springtime - Flowers, pastel colors, bunnies Jun: Summertime - Beach, bright colors, sunglasses, bikini Jul: 4th of July - Red, white and blue, stars and stripes, fireworks Aug: Summer, Baseball, swimsuits (no holidays) Sept: Back to School - Schoolgirl outfits, Football outfits Oct: Halloween - Black and orange, pumpkins, black cats, masks Nov: Thanksgiving/Fall Harvest - Golds, oranges, browns Dec: Christmas/Holidays - Red, green, blue, silver, tinsel, evergreen trees Remember.. these are just suggestions.. you can always come up with others... Remember, with an 18 month calendar, there are 2 of each month from January through June. Ok.. now a couple of minor things to remember.... Images are NOT to have been published before the calendar is published. Model in the images has to have been 40 or older when images was taken. Image should NOT be older than 9 months. NO NUDES, Topless, or showing "bits or nips". Lingerie, costumes, pinups etc are all ok... as are swim suits etc... Remember... purchasers may want to hang this calendar where there might be minors etc... Send all images in proper format to: Project40 @ acgellert. com

Sandra W wrote: What's your deadline, Andrew? I haven't forgotten about you! As I posted above in the specs post... November 30th But it might get changed.. a few people are still working on setting up shoots, and right now I dont have enough images to even do any calendar. I had a little set back myself on a shoot, and am falling back to re-group and re-shuffle... for a couple of shoots myself.

Lynn, you know how I feel about you and your modeling. You are a rare breed my dear. Yes 18 - 20-ish models take most of the work but there is a market for 30+, 40+ and so on commercially as well as artistically. As you know I am mostly a fine-art photographer and usually use younger models but I do find something special with the more mature models. You my friend top my list and I just wish we lived closer

Hi everyone! I am a newbie and was discovered by an Agency in LA recently. I am 48 years old and am told that there is a demand for older models in certain genres. I just did my first photo shoot and am booking more TF's to build my port. Thanks, Brenda

It might be that the local agencies where you are might not yet be running the Mature models like they are in L.A. and NY. Look at the ads on TV.. Dove soap, Oil of Olay, and more are using older more mature women for their ads. Even one has convinced Jamie Lee Curtis to let her hair stay gray for those yogurt stomach aids. Ask the agencies you call if they have a Mature model section.. or look for their websites and see for yourself. I dont know how they rank different cities, but also look to see where PA lands in the ranking of cities, like L.A. and NY are up at the top.

Just curious...do any of you know...do most of the agencies for "mature" models want experience in Lifestyle type work? My experience is mostly fetish, glamour and artistic nude, but someone who is still modeling in her 50s said there is a big demand for lifestyle work in our age group.
