Enter the intersection into your GPS or Googlemaps: Mountain View Rd & Bella Vista Dr, Adelanto, CA 92301. This will take you to the stop sign at the entrance to the lake bed. You can't miss the lake bed once you get to this point! There are various signs and directions helping you to get to the lake bed.

Yes, you need a permit and it cost 150/day (payable by VISA/Master Card) and you need to file with the Inland Empire Film Commission. Contact, Mr. Daniel Taylor. In order to be issued, you need photographer's insurance.

There is now a 15 USD entrance fee that you pay at a machine and there are rangers on station to validate your purchase. But they do not check whether or not you have a permit or ask for reason of visit.

Right now, with the imminent rain, the lake bed is closed when wet.
