JUST A REMINDER TO EVERYONE: Since the event's already happened this thread will be locked by the Mods if folks keep posting here. Please continue any chat about the event in the Chat thread: https://www.modelmayhem.com/po.php?thread_id=411402 In a few weeks when we're ready to start planning the next event a new thread will be posted for that. C entral Florida A lternative P hotography E vents is pleased to announce the second CAPErs Shoot Out hosted by The Orlando Photography Studio. These events will be photography shoots for those interested in alternative photography, be it fine art, fetish, horror, pin-up, or just completely off beat. Events will take place approximately every 6-8 weeks at various locations in Central Florida. On top of being a great time for mingling, these events will primarily be for shooting and will include both new and old faces to the Central Florida photography and modeling scene. Thatâs right guys, organizers James of SLE Photography and Meg Schutz are at it again! Meet our organizers and event moderators HERE. The Official Date is March 14, 2009 and will be held at The Orlando Photography Studio. Shooting time will be from 1:30pm-8:00pm (with a 30 minute lunch) and is again a strictly 18+ event. In addition to multiple shooting spaces, we'll have a Big Dog chopper and a '62 Corvette to shoot with, courtesy of FotoFrank! For more details on the venue please go HERE. ********************************************************* Headlining for our second event are models Engel Schrei and BaunFire! THERE WILL BE A SPECIAL LIMITED OPPORTUNITY FOR PRIVATE SESSIONS WITH OUR 2 FEATURED MODELS BEFORE THE SHOOT. Please check HERE for details on our headliners and these special sessions. ********************************************************* In addition to our headliners we'll have a vibrant group of models working during the shootout, giving photographers the chance to capture several looks & styles. For a full list of attending models, please go HERE. ********************************************************* Given space limitations at the venue, we are limiting the number of photographers admitted to the event to a total of 25. Photographers will be grouped together in groups of 3-4 and will be working around the location to each shoot area set up. Every photographer should have the opportunity to work with every model attending. Shooting sessions will be broken into two 3 hour sessions with a break in between. Details on the rotation schedule will be posted shortly. ********************************************************* Please note, this event is a shoot out! There is very little space for socializing and the event is aimed to help portfolio building for both models and photographers as well as to have a good time in a comfortable environment. ********************************************************* As promised, we are trying our hardest to keep these events as affordable as possible! Photographers may book into either one 3 hour session for the price of $50, or book into the whole 6 hours for $75 (thatâs a $25 discount here guys). For an additional $5, beverages and lunch will be provided. Due to the popularity of our last event, we will be collecting a 50% deposit that is nonrefundable after two weeks prior to the event. For a full list of attending photographers, please look HERE. Models attend the event free in exchange for a limited release for their images (see the FAQ for details) and have the opportunity to negotiated paid full releases with the photographers. We are striving to keep CAPErs affordable, if this goes well we have a variety of great shoots & venues lined up for very reasonable rates. Prices for this event have been kept extra low at the risk of our own wallets to show our commitment to the community & these events. ********************************************************* As noted, this will be an 18+ event, some of the models will be working nude and others will not. Ditto for bondage work. Please see the model links for details. Info on releases & usage rights is posted in the FAQ. ********************************************************* Please feel free to Friend us on MySpace and join our MySpace group, or join our Yahoo group for additional info on upcoming events. We'll always post here on MM as well. We now have a (very primitive LOL) website: http://www.floridacapers.com ! The site's under development as a hub for our promotions on various sites! ********************************************************* Please post any questions about the event here in the thread, not in PMs to the organizers! If you wish to attend, post & you will be contacted to confirm your attendance and collect deposit (if youâre a photographer that is!). This post and the model & photographer list posts following will be updated regularly! Please note, per MM event forum rules we can't have "chit chat" in this thread. Please keep this thread for posting questions or suggestions or letting us know you'd like to attend. For social talk about the event please visit this thread: https://www.modelmayhem.com/po.php?thread_id=411402 Feb 15 09 06:10 pm Link Please note: The CAPErs are not intended in ANY way to compete with or replace the OMG (Orlando Meet & Greets). They're planned as complementary events with a different focus for people interested in smaller shoot-focused events in specialty venues with more of an alt theme. We are coordinating with the OMG organizers to make sure our events do not closely overlap or conflict. Central Floridians looking for events with more of a social focus & open to all ages should check out the thread for the next OMG Here: https://www.modelmayhem.com/po.php?thread_id=388645 and their very active chatter thread here: https://www.modelmayhem.com/po.php?thread_id=402906 More info can also be found on their website: http://www.flmeetngreet.com They also sponsor a monthly Eat & Critique, info can be found here: https://www.modelmayhem.com/po_big.php?thread_id=253880 Feb 15 09 06:10 pm Link As mentioned above, headlining our second event are models Engel Schrei and BaunFire! Engel is and experienced fashion, art, and fetish model and is about to be seen featured on the limited edition KISS Guitar Hero campaign! BaunFire is a Florida-known model specializing in Fetish and has been seen on DeviantNation.com. Between the 2 of them that's TWELVE FEET FOUR INCHES of fabulous model BEFORE they strap on their heels! On a strictly first come, first paid basis, we have a total of 4 private sessions available to shoot one on one for 30 minutes each with Engel and BaunFire. These sessions are $150 and only available to the first 4 photographers who register. They must be paid in full in advance. The models will pose nude and sign full releases. This will take place before the event is opened to other photographers from 11am-1pm, and again will be completely one on one time with the models. Payments for these time slots are completely non-refundable. Here's the breakdown for our headliners: *From 11 AM to 12 PM: Private session. 2 photographers will get 30 minutes with each model then switch. Wardrobe or lack thereof is at photographer's discretion. *From 12 PM to 1 PM: Private session. 2 photographers will get 30 minutes with each model then switch. Wardrobe or lack thereof is at photographer's discretion. Admission to the CAPER is a SEPARATE FEE from these sessions. You may book the private session without being required to attend the CAPEr. From 1-4 PM Baun will be part of the rotation for the main shootout. She will NOT be posing nude or offering a full release for this portion of the session unless a photographer negotiates a release separately with her. Engel will be available at this time for individual bookings in a separate shooting area at $75 a half hour or $100 for a full hour, nudes & releases allowed. ONE photographer per session. (Engel may make concessions on price in exchange for certain wardrobe items, please contact her for details). From 4:30 PM until 7:30 PM Engel will be part of the rotation for the main shootout. These sessions will ONLY be available to photographers attending the main event unless they fail to book, in which case we will make them available to people not attending the event. No "May" about it! Well known national traveling model London Andrews will be dropping by to visit the CAPEr, grope Engel & Meg's bewbs, and join us for lunch! This'll be a great chance to meet London, talk to her about her experiences, and maybe discuss booking a shoot with her (trust me, she's worth it!) London is coming as a GUEST of the event, we do not have her scheduled as a model! Feb 15 09 06:11 pm Link Organizers and Moderators: James Glendinning SLE Photography James has been working in photography around central Florida for 20 years. For the last 10 he's been extensively involved with the fetish & alternative communities. He's helped organize and worked as the photographer for a variety of events & venues. From his involvement in kickstarting the Orlando Meet & Greets in 2007 he saw the need for smaller specialty events focused more on shooting. He also saw a great deal of interest in smaller venues that would not support meet & greet size crowds. He has contacts with & experience in booking venues all over Florida. Meg Schutz Megan's a rising young Orlando photographer who's tied in to the Alt scene and a number of new & interested models. She's worked for groups like Urban Bombshells that promote new models in getting started with modern pinup & similar work. Meg also models, see her modeling profile Here. After attending the OMG, Meg talked with James and expressed interest in alt events that would bring in newer & outside of the mainstream models & photographers with options for things like specialty venues and shoots including nudity. Meg's tied in with the alt modeling community and can bring the models together. Joining the CAPErs team as an Event Moderator is Kristina Renee Kristinaâs a new photographer on the Orlando scene focusing largely on lifestyle and concept photography. As friendly as she is organized, Kristina will be helping moderate the event by keeping track of time so the rotation schedule moves as smoothly as planned. Info on the last CAPEr can be found HERE. Feb 16 09 06:30 pm Link Having never done one before, I would like to join this alt shootout, but being clueless as to how it is conducted, I have a few questions. Is this a straight shootout or is it also a workshop? I am presuming that the entire shoot with cars, bikes, etc., will take place indoors against a continuous permanent white background. Is that correct? What kind of lighting, if any, is provided? Do we need to bring our own lighting? If lighting is provided, how is it triggered? Who determines the lighting illumination configuration and ratios for the different sets? Do models share the set space for simultaneous shooting or is it one set at a time. If 2-3 photographers at a time for a model and multiple models and up to 25 photographers, how much time can be expected for each model shoot as we rotate? Do the models pose on their own extemporaneously or do the 2-3 photographers try to give directions or will another person playing art director give posing instructions? Will one or more MUAs be provided for the models? Will the models bring all their own garments and props or do the photographers bring at least some?
