We're having another rendition of our hugely awesome strobist meetups.

when: June 20th, 10AM sharp to 8pm
where: Russell Industrial Center, 1600 Clay street, Detroit
contact: [email protected]

While we're not putting a limit on attendance, we're asking photographers to let us know if they plan to attend so we know how many models to book.

models that want to come should PM me to sign up, this thread is going to be mostly for photographers.

While there is no cost for anyone to attend, we're asking for donations to help cover the cost of the building rental so we can continue to do this in the future.

answers to FAQS:
no nudes
makeup artists will be booked TF only
models rotate in 45 minute blocks
models booked at the start of the meetup

I will be in attendance, especially since that is where my studio is located.

It's within my area...I'll be there.

And we're having the next DEAC shoot also at Russell on June 6th...bring some flyers for this to promote it to the models and photographers there!

Edit: No need to book extra models for me...I'll be there mainly for the meetup and the workshop thingies.

According to wikipedia

"David Hobby (born January 30, 1965) is an American photographer and author of the Strobist.com lighting blog, a site which promotes lighting techniques — such as off-camera flash — among photographic enthusiasts, often with an emphasis on the practical knowledge rather than the gear.

He runs Strobist.com, a popular blog devoted to photographic lighting techniques. The blog has an on-line monthly readership of over 300,000 photographers in over 175 countries. Over 50,000 web users have registered with its companion Strobist Flickr group"

Profotos work for strobists:)
