Hey MM! I did a bonehead move today in the studio. I thought I had my fill light metered correctly today when i was popping off some head shots. Once I got home and looked at these on my PC, I noticed a drastic shadow on the left jawline and under the chin.
I have an Adobe Elements 7 "help" manual but can't seem to find a technique that seems to work. I'm far from the master at digital enhancement, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Then give us a little help. It's a visual medium. SHOW the problem.

you need to post an image or a link to something thats around 750x1100pxls or larger...a thumb is hard to tell anything about

from what I can tell..(it's not much), but that may be from some kind of face cream or ointment...certain chemicals like oxides react funny to digital, though it's usually greenish.

I haven't worked with Elements in a while, but is there a Shadows/Highlights feature? I use it in Photoshop sometimes to lift shadows if I feel like they are too harsh.

Hope everything turns out okay! {hugs}

Please don't post anything wider than about 750 pixels.  Because of a flaw in MM forum PHP code, it screws up the formatting of paragraphs if there is any picture in the thread that is too wide.

The thumbnail has been removed before I could see it, but it should be noted that it not digital that is the problem.  If the picture was made with electronic flash then makeup might be fluorescing to the UV component of the light from the flash.  Always specify photographic makeup to avoid this issue.
