Looking for a deserted town/city in So Cal
I'm looking to shoot a band in a modern day deserted town. I heard about one in the Palmdale area but have no idea where it is. Looking for something more recent than the old west look. Thanks ahead for the suggestions! Sep 05 09 06:51 pm Link There are some cool abandoned places out at the Salton Sea south the Palm Springs. Not fines, or confiscated equipment.....jail. scary Sep 06 09 01:01 am Link laharris wrote: Salton Sea, Sep 06 09 01:04 am Link Salton Sea. Only decent place close to L.A. for what you're looking for. Sep 06 09 08:12 am Link Thanks for the replies. Are they really that strict at the Salton Sea with throwing people in jail? I know many, many photographers and models who have gone down there shooting without an incident. Sep 06 09 11:22 am Link Check out the GhostTowns.com listings for southern California. Sep 06 09 11:23 am Link Amboy used to be a great ghost town. A mining company bought it up, but, there are still good abandoned buildings there. Don't go in summer! Sep 06 09 11:27 am Link All of my pictures were shot at mentryville. Its an small, old, abandoned mining place. It cost 5 dollars for parking but they have absolutely no problem with shooting there Sep 06 09 11:32 am Link |
