I've been involved in Craig Seay's theLIST and the Newbie Model of the Week Contest at some level since they began in late 2007 and early 2008.

Working on some photos from a recent shoot with Samantha Christian, our 68th Newbie Model of the Week got me thinking about all of the new models I've worked with and seen during my involvement in these programs.

So let's start a tribute thread to the past nominees for this contest to show where they have come. Here are some simple guidelines:

Any model entered in the contest is eligible - we have always said that all contestants are winners.
Photographers who have worked with these models - subsequent shoots with NMoW nominees? Post them!
Post photos created since the contest nomination - please don't simply rehash the nomination images.
Any photos showing the model's  progress - but if they are newds, please use a link and mark it 18+

I'll start it off ...

The lovely Samantha Christian was voted our 86th Newbie Model of the Week on 11 August, 2009.

Samantha embodies the traits that I seek in a model: intelligence, self confidence, an artistic bent as well as a unique and outstanding look. The idea behind theLIST and Newbie Model of the Week is to help new models attain their potential by getting them started on the right foot and giving them a sense of what to expect in the freelance world. Samantha has taken these cues and has run with them - a very rewarding investment for both of us. Without further ado here are some recent photos of our rapidly developing model, hardly a newbie after just a few months:

Hey everyone!

I was Newbie Model of the Week #2.
Tom sent me the post to this thread, to showcase how we've grown as a model, so here it is.

Here was the original submission by photographer Digiography (#45731)

Thanks so much Tiana. It is great to see the body of work you have built, simply beautiful!

I remember when Grant nominated you, I thought so many of my favorite models are from that Buffalo/Rochester/Toronto triangle lol

I hope some day we will meet when I'm up that way.

I've also had the pleasure of working with Samantha Christian, and would like to add that she came on time, well prepared, and eager to work. She moves very well for someone of her experience level. Hope to shoot her again in the near future.

I am very thankful to LeDeux (MM:148172) for taking interest in me, and helping me jumpstart my portfolio on Model Mayhem! I really do owe the exposure to LeDeux, who is so magnificent at seeing a woman's true beauty, and strives to capture it in his lens.

I have no idea which week that I was nominated for, but here are some images that LeDeux and I created.

Thank you Emobi! You were way back in the early days - the seventh week of the contest, the week ending 24 February 2008.

I've been going through the past threads and trying to collect all of the participants and it is really gratifying to see how many are still here and going strong. Our position has always been that everyone is truly a winner: both through the positive publicity from the contest itself but also from the contacts and learning opportunities from the process of working with theLIST and (lucky you!) Top Drawer members.

Congratulations on a stunning portfolio and continuing commitment to making quality images. thanks again for updating us on your recent work!
