Color Deconvolution
I mentioned in another thread that I use Focus Magic all the time. While searching to see to what extent deconvolution was already built in to Photoshop CS5 (smart sharpen?) I came across this interesting site: Forensic Photoshop and this idea in particular: Prosecuting Graffiti Taggers using Color Deconvolution. use this url: http://www.4N6Site.com Jun 10 10 11:20 am Link The site is so-so, but I do really love that plugin. It's not as useful as I'd have hoped due to limitations of the implementation, but you can't beat the price . [And fwiw, for better or worse, Smart Sharpen isn't a deconvolution-based method .] Jun 10 10 12:59 pm Link SRB Photo wrote: thought it might be, but I never touch Photoshop sharpening Jun 10 10 01:01 pm Link The examples for retouching http://home.planet.nl/~ber03728/4N6site … amples.htm way at the bottom are pretty interesting. Of course hair can have a lot of different hues, but I'm curious to play with this. Jun 10 10 01:16 pm Link I have downloaded the color deconvolution plug in (paid version) more out of interest than for any practical use, but may try it on hair to see what kind of a mask it can create. Jun 12 10 12:53 pm Link I sort of lost track of this plugin over the last 2 years, but by coincidence the guy maintaining the site that offers it wrote me today to tell me to update some links. Thought it might be worth another look. http://www.4N6Site.com Jul 04 12 12:50 pm Link |
