I make my own cleansing oil in 2 ounce plastic travel bottles and keep in my medicine cabinet. Oils of my choice + either Cromollient SCE OR you can use Polysorbate 80 (both obtainable from Lotioncrafter.com).

I buy the emulsifier in such large quantities and oils like safflower oil, sunflower oil, etc are so cheap that I've been making tiny .05 ounce bottles to have on hand to give to models when I know I'm going to be doing something that would require more than just your basic cleanser to remove (like if I'm using spirit gum or prosaid, greasepaints, etc). I just don't assume anymore that models have proper stuff to remove this kind of makeup so I just give them what they need.

I don't recommend using just oil because it doesn't break down in water. You'll just end up with oil residue on your face and probably makeup residue too. If you follow through with a regular cleanser that does have emulsifiers in it, you should be good to go though.

to remove my make-up I use ...  http://www.lush.ca/shop/products/visage … ltrasimple

and to wash my face I use... http://www.lush.ca/shop/products/visage … de-charbon

many nights I get lazy and only use the cola face and it does a decent job of removing my make-up too, but I  need to use a bit of the ultra bland to remove my eye make-up ...

I have combo skin, slightly on the oilier side, and before using these products I had mild adult acne and now my face is clean and clear, I love the fact that these are natural products and are cruelty free...

Ditto.

My mascara washes off cleanly with water and a little friction. Anything else gets EVOO. I use it as a moisturizer (body and face), too. Zero blemishes. Zero issues. I adore it.

that is exactly me!  lol bubble wrap!

except mine can be anywhere above my chest.  most people will never understand.. sigh.  if slightest amount of vinegarette/olive oil dressing touches my face when i'm having my salad, i can expect the birth of AT LEAST 1 painful pimple.. it starts as a little itchy spot that very night.

back on topic.  i use Sisley or Ling Skincare removers in my kit and myself.  I also use these wipes that I got from malaysia last year that removes makeup really well, think they're called 'simply' or something like that.  all 3 work great for sensitive skin and/or acne prone skin.

Bioderma Sensibio. It's practically like water except it actually removes everything. You don't even have to wash your face afterwards. I love the stuff.

I get those too. I call them the "ones with their own pulse and zipcode".

Using products with anti-androgenic ingredients really REALLY makes a difference with controlling my hormonal acne and anti-androgenic drugs like Spironolactone (a blood pressure medication used off label for acne) helps quite a bit. Mine was never so bad that it required getting on Spiro but lots of people I know swear by it. But I use skincare with anti-androgenic ingredients religiously (Nordihydroguariaretic Acid, specifically) and it makes a huge difference for me. I also take 50mg of Zinc Picolinate daily and I need to watch my yeast and dairy intake as it sets off a multitude of medical issues for me (acne, GI problems, my tendonititis flares up).

But yah, not everyone does good with all types of oil. But safflower oil is the closest and most bioidentical to human sebum and I typically make a cleansing oil blend of safflower oil, argan oil, jojoba oil and my emulsifier. I stay away from castor oil (can actually be drying) and mineral oil (I like to stay away for using petrochemicals whenever possible for eco reasons).

Sorry about the thread jack too. Just thought I would share.

The best makeup remover EVER was Bonne Bell's classic 10-0-6. (Now discontinued.**) I've used this for over 20 years - works like a dream, doesn't dry the skin out and takes off anything and everything.

(Not for the eyes though! For that, the best is the simplest: Maybelline Eye Makeup Remover.)

**Guess now I have to switch to the replacement for 10-0-6, called "So Totally Clean."

Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Facial Wash.
It's currently the only thing keeping my skin from breaking out and it's so gentle to my skin too

Caudalie!

You can get it in your eyes and it doesn't burn.
Also it actually leaves your skin clean. Not oily or filmy.

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cloths... they work well, smell good, and the cloths are super soft.  I have super sensitive skin, and I like to wear a lot of eye makeup, and these don't sting at all.

Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm - it's like an oil cleanser but rinses off squeaky clean plus it's a solid so it's great for traveling!

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. Olive oil based but light; it emulsifies and rinses away in water. Takes EVERYTHING off!

I work for Lancome cosmetics and I use Creme Douceur and or Huile Douceur... they both have surfectants and emulsifiers. Surfectants are cleansers that rinse away clean and emulsifiers break down makeup, dirt and oil that wipe away clean. Both have anti-oxidant and purifying extracts and pass the white towel tests! smile *also safe for eyes and lips

Bi-facil is the number 1 eye makeup remover in the world... u activate the silicone and fresh water by shaking it before use....gently removes everything including waterproof makeup wink

For face I used The Grapeseed Company Green tea & Grapes creme cleanser.
For the eyes, Lancome Bi-Facil. Hands down the best eye makeup remover I have tried. A close second would be Merle Norman's Luxiva eye makeup remover.

My mom loves the oil.  I prefer the DHC make-off sheets for myself and clients.
