liability insurance?
Ok so I have been getting busier and I was wondering if you any of you carry insurance and if so what kind? Do you make the clients sign a consent saying they said they were not allergic to anything that they know of, and its not your fault if they have a reaction? I'm wondering this because I recently had a client react to the silica in my MUFE HD primer! It was bad I guess, but she was really nice about it because I had asked her about any allergy's and if she was sensitive to anything and explained that some people are to primer or other products they haven't used before! Thanks everyone!! Jan 18 11 04:16 pm Link A standard $1,000,000.oo policy is a good thing for anybody in business to have. Jan 18 11 04:18 pm Link Myself and all the industry people here use "Duck for Cover" it's specially designed for people in this industry and is very reasonable, also $1,000,000.oo is required here too! Jan 18 11 04:38 pm Link I have it....I think it's about a million in coverage and it costs me about $700.00 a year. I can't imagine not having it, it's taking a huge risk Jan 18 11 08:59 pm Link i got it the minute i started, i think its better to be safe than sorry! Jan 19 11 05:58 am Link My policy covers $1M in liability, and also covers loss if my things get stolen, etc. My bridal contract does mention allergic reactions, but if something bad goes down, that won't stop them from taking you to court. My policy is around $400 a year. Call around to some business insurance agents and get some quotes. It's worth the peace of mind. Jan 19 11 06:41 am Link So I've been looking into getting insurance, and I am glad you guys had a thread here.
