Crown Brush: Your favorite brushes?
I really need to replace my old and broke down brushes. I know not all of their brushes are of great quality so I figured you Fab people would have good recommendations. Anyone? Mar 08 11 07:22 pm Link Ohhhh.. *lurks in the thread* id like to hear a bit about this to. my ELF brushes look like theyre about to fall apart. Mar 08 11 07:26 pm Link At the IBS show today I picked up my first Crown brushes. I can't wait to try them out! I got the C105 Tapered Blush, S204 Mini Blush, S201 Jumbo Powder and C405 Contour Blush (this one I'm most excited to try). I'll report back once I've tested them out. Mar 08 11 10:36 pm Link Back in 2006 when I went to The Makeup Show in NYC I purchased a bunch of Crown Brushes and I have order more on line also. I have never been unhappy with the brushes. I would not hesitate to order again from them,,,but I do LOVE my A Design Brushes, my Shu ones, and my MUFE ones. I am getting ready to order brushes from Royal Lagnickel which I am really excited about. There silk brushes are amazing. Mar 09 11 07:14 am Link i love their pink handled ones. I bought a few cause they were cute last year and liked them enough that i went back and bought more this year! I only have the eye brushes though - offhand, i htink i have eyeliner (angled) a short smudger, a crease brush, and a couple of others. i got their skunk brush (pretty sure its pink handled) and while it feels nice, i havent had a chance to test it out yet with makeup. I got a couple of their black handled (cheaper, not sure what line anymore though) blush brushes and they never stopped bleeding when i washed them and after a few washes, the brush wasn't as soft anymore. i tossed them. Mar 09 11 09:57 am Link The studio line is probably where I'm gonna shop mostly. Just worries about the brushes bleeding a lot. Mar 09 11 10:02 am Link i have a big studio line powder brush and the color didnt bleed at all. The ones that bled were only $3 or 4 at the show. So probably not the the studio line. Mar 09 11 10:09 am Link http://crownbrush.us/index.php?main_pag … ducts_id=4 I have that set. They did bleed the first 2 or so times washing, but I wash brushes a few times before I use them on anyone. The do stop bleeding after the initial washes. The bristles are good and in there, to they're not shedding. I like them overall, especially as "extra brushes" and consider them a sound investment. I am especially fond of the angled liner brush. That one is priceless. Mar 09 11 10:12 am Link Ok how do I post a pic on here in the thread? I'm horrible with stuff like that lol. You sometimes need to sign in to view some pictures and sometimes even be friends with the person. Photobucket is free, works great, and it's actually really easy. Mar 09 11 09:22 pm Link I have the Syntho set and Pink handle set from Crown for about 6 mths and their great so far !! Mar 10 11 11:16 am Link Here are the brushes! Mar 10 11 06:34 pm Link Love my crown brushes (badger series is my fave) But i definitely like royals brushes better. (which are also very economical). Mar 10 11 07:11 pm Link SIGMA brushes are cool. and inexpensive too you can get a complete set of 13 ( 5 face brushes and the rest for your eyes) for only 80 bucks and there good quality (natural and synthetic bristles) vie had mines for about 4 months and they barley even shed Mar 11 11 12:10 am Link Megan Mateo wrote: Slight bleeding on the first wash is OK...anything after that is not acceptable (this goes for all brush companies). You shouldn't have to wash a 'new' brush multiple times before using it safely with no fear of dye mixing with wet/creamy products. Mar 11 11 09:27 am Link Ya I just finished washing some brushes, I have ones that are like 4 years old and they still bleed color when I wash them. They're junk though, I only ever use them for loose powder for eyeshadow fallout. Mar 15 11 07:44 pm Link I have a few brushes by Crown and I LOOOVE them! The Crown Brush stall at London IMATS this year was also overflowing with people. More so than any other the other brush stalls I looked at. Mar 16 11 08:15 pm Link |
