Wondering if we can zero in on a collective noun for models.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_collective_nouns

I'd like to go with a "murder of models."

But some other appropriate options include...

a herd of models

a swarm of models

a flock of models

IDEAS??

A gaggle of models.
A scream of models.
A genus of models.
A clique of models.
A cluster of models.
An annoyance of models.
A chant of models.
A bosom of models.
A rabble of models.
A corral of models.

Hmm, too many negative connotations.

How about:

a Pleasure of Models
a Muse of Models
a Flash of Models
a Click (clique) of Models
a Pose of Models

While I agree that there might be too many negatives in this thread, this is by far my favorite yet:

More than one model is usually a mess so I would say...

A brouhaha of models.

For photographers? Hmm. Since so many shoots seem to be under the guise of career advancement for models or an empty promise made by a photographer...

A ruse of photographers.
A pretense of photographers.

I would think that something that refers to actual groupings of models like

A casting of models
An array of models
A lineup of models
A runway of models

Did someone say Bevy? A bevy of models?

The proper plural of Models = Modei.

But...

wink Also interesting...
mod·el (verb)
To represent in general form as opposed to actual substance. To fashion or shape in a malleable material such as clay or wax.

I think it depends on what kind of model we're talking about. I therefore propose the following collective nouns for various sub-categories.

Fashion/catwalk  - "A clatter"
Glamour/booty    - "A tumescence"
Commercial        - "A smile"
Nude/Art           - "A lady garden"
Pinup                - "A pout"
Alt                   - "A doodle"

And last, but by no means least...

Fit                   - "A pincushion"

Just my $0.02

The OP wasn't really looking for the plural. The term is "collective noun".

I've always wondered who selected the appropriate collective nouns, such as a murder of crows and a parliament of monkeys. Now I know smile

May I suggest, from personal experience: a giggle of models?

And photographers must be collected by sub-category:

a leer of GWCs
a selfie of CWCC (chicks with cellphone cameras)

Something tells me that Tina Fey and Sarah Silverman should co-write that story (with creative input from every GWC on MM).
