Just happen to look at the news video about a BC girl in LA. I know this place likes to help when they can. Maybe we can do something to help out this family.

"Photographer/Makeup artist, sister missing in LA"  is a little misleading and may prevent from helping,.. you're spreading misinformation. the news story said her sister is a Make up artist in Canada. And tweeted about the incident.
That does not mean this thread should be in the "General Industry" forum.

It did not mention if the missing person had anything to do with photography, modeling, or make up. Do you have a reliable source that suggests otherwise?
If she was traveling for something related to an industry we're in, then that may aid the search, but the news story and articles i read did not mention anything to that effect. All it said is she was a tourist, travelling alone.



Regardless, anyone in the LA area can keep an eye out.

Elisa Lam: 21-Year-Old Missing From Downtown L.A. Possible Victim Of Foul Play

Cops were searching for a missing 21-year-old, Elisa Lam, who came to Los Angeles from Vancouver as a tourist. Unfortunately, investigators believe that her case is "suspicious" and might involve "foul play," according to an LAPD statement.

She ended up in a sketchy part of downtown and stayed in a Skid Row adjacent hotel, the circa-1927 Cecil, that has tried to cater to Euro-tourists instead of the quasi-homeless that frequent many of the old single-room occupancy businesses in the area:

According to the LAPD she arrived in L.A. Jan. 26 and intended to move along to Santa Cruz at some point.

She hasn't been seen since last Thursday, cops say.

Lam likes to take public transportation, including buses and Amtrak, according to the department.

... An Asian woman of Chinese descent. She has black hair, brown eyes and stands 5 feet 4 inches tall. She weighs about 115 pounds. She is fluent in English and also speaks Cantonese.

i almost ignored this thread cuz LA to me is Louisiana, not L.A.

i know that area... it's sketchy...

but it's also pretty close to Lil Tokyo and Chinatown, so finding a lil Asian girl in that area might be a challenge...
