Hi Patresha,  Welcome back to your original contest!!  Although not stated in the rules, perhaps it would be helpful to better understand what your definition of retouching is.
Speaking for myself only, "retouching" for me can include cropping, the obvious blemish and makeup enhancements, and pretty much ANYTHING that I feel will give an image a different look.  NOT the hard core "digital" enhancements, but pretty much keeping the original as "original" as possible.  I for one think that enhanced colors and/or background "textures" can be very cool with "retouching" of images.  NOTE:  I only write this in public so that others may also express their own views for your consideration as well.  (We might as well get these ideas included in the rules from the start to help eliminate issues in the future!)  Thanks for all Patresha and best of luck with your new contest.  A GREAT place for professional retouchers to showcase their talent!

So changing the background into a pattern that you have
made to complement the models features
and colouring is acceptable.
